It’s still nice to hear from departing players and also to know that while there’s been a bit of agony this season, of a kind we haven’t had for a while, overall the club is getting a lot right and creating chances and pathways for players to have a professional career where it may not have existed before.
I wish him all the best. Perth is a lovely modern city. It gets hot in mid summer but the rest of the year its great. Lots of kiwis live there too. Sounds like the club is in rebuild mode so they could be quiet competetive next season.
Going to be really annoying when he has a blinder of a season or two with Perth and then gets on sold to Europe. 😔
Hopefully the change of scenery does him well though. Still think it's going to be a tough ask for him to crack the AW's for 2026 given who's in front of him currently.
i doubt that happens at this point. If it does though, Nix will get a decent fraction of whatever fee as solidarity payments given how he came up exclusively via our academyYoungHeartHM

When we moved to Perth, it was definitely not great losing an A-League quality local LB but it was a bit easier to stomach with that he hadn't really kicked on as much as we hoped in the last couple seasons and maybe we'd sign a better replacement but with not signing anyone and switching to wing backs which would suit him a lot more its a real loss not having him this season.
