Was Wynton part of hooking this up? I assume he's still got some connections in the club
Anyone called Trevor must surely be eligible for NZ
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Yeah he was - he's working for Bremen setting academies up in China - they have two there now.

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.
No the academies are separate to Trevor's situation but that's the link, someone asked if Wynton still had contacts there - he does.

His YouTube highlights reel showcased him as a CM in some level of college competition I presume.
Kotahitanga. We are one.
Talked to Wynton today - confirmed he's a DM who can also play CB

How many kiwis are signed anywhere at youth level?
The standard of football in NZ is poor, the reality is, really good players probably get caught up in the crap. Given a different environment he may be a different player... having people actually know and understand their role, who have a good touch and know how to find space to receive a pass etc.

recent Kiwi youth signings
Sam Brotherton at Sunderland
Andrew Blake at Hibs

both over 20, an age when many are playing first team football. He's 16... a bit different.
Isn't there a kiwi kid whose about 11 on the books of Inter?
Edit: I googled it. He was there 3 years ago when he was 8, don't know if he's still there: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_i...

Turning 18 in 2 months time, so a little older than 16.
Lets all poke holes...
The fact is for the number of young players we have, very few make a real go of it. And the fact remains, there is a 1000 more sharke players than good ones, so judging the good ones is a little hard to do, effectively, consistantly.
I hope he picks NZ, I hope he turns into a star. End of.
It would be great to see a 'Trevor' ripping it up on the world stage...
Go Trev!
He started and played 90 minutes for Bremen u19 in their 3-2 win over Wolfsburg. Wynton was there and said he was class.
Trev last featured for Bremen U19 on 29th Oct against Hannover 96 U19.
Was subbed after 55mins so maybe picked up an injury?
is he still getting plenty of game time over there?
Seems like he has been in & out of the Werder Bremen U19's. Soccerway says 9 appearances this season in Bundesliga U19 North.
Bremen have played 22 games to lie 3rd on the table.
6 starts and 3 times as a sub.
No games Nov-Dec 2016, or Jan 2018 (competition winter break was mid Dec to end of Jan)
1 game Feb
2 games March
1 game April (last weekend)
Still a higher level than most of U20 trialists.
I also found out that he played 275 minutes out of 300 for WB u19 in the champions cup. Big teams including world champs Red Bull Salzburg.
Ive heard from multiple people at the camp who were watching that Trevor was the most promising player! Bright future for this kid!
