He looks adequate, but  I think I'll need to se him in the preseason first (i don't get the Finnish leagues at my place)

He fills that link up spot but I'm still waiting in anticipation for our new striker
You know we belong together...

Anyone got any video's of him? All I've seen is a little shot of him beating his man and putting a blocked cross in, and that was in a Knights game highlights package. Looked impressive in that 4 second clip though.

Yes! Fantastic News.

I credit Oi Oi for the constant lobbying...

Ricki stated something like - the most talented player he has ever coached

And remember..

- He'll shoot, he'll Score, he'll eat your Labrodor, Lei Lei Gao.

Respect.

umm from the knights performances i'd say quite possibly, he's pgot a lot of pace and great ball skill to burn, aswell as a mean free kick

Free kicks sound good.

With Felipe and Elrich gone, only Daniel can take free kicks and corners, and who will take the right-footed ones?

Yet another great signing. It's gonna be a good season

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Gao can take them, and quite probably will take attacking free kicks, he's not the biggest of men i think, so would be better delivering

As long as he has a better delivery than Malik Buari I will be happy.

Yes. Its no coincidence Gao's arrival sparked a good run by us.

Yes.

He is more consistent. A season footballer with plenty of experience. Stays on his feet. Has a cool head. He can use both feet and is much faster. Suitable for speed at 1.80m and is aged 27 with 8 season of professional football. Can't really complain at all.

He will have to complete with Leo Bertos for the right foot free kicks but he is known to be one of the key players that turned the last set of games that the Knights had into wins from the midfield.

It's just mouth watering to see him, Daniel and Leo smashing though the weaker A-League sides. Leo on the left, Daniel in the centre and Leilei on the right probing for that extra goal is going to be fun to see. The speed and skill factor in the midfield has jumped further than the previous season already.

Now we have yet to see the right back and forward as well as picking up Big Ben Sig.

As for the other positions

Forward=?AllWhitebelievr2008-03-19 03:42:48

This:
Rickis a big fan of Leilei, having worked with him at the Knights, and he was keen to sign him up for season one. Unfortunately the circumstances werent right at the time.
So when the opportunity came up for us to sign him for our second season, we jumped at it."

So Ricki's a fan

plus:
More Wellingtonian Asians might come along and help boost our home attendances (and coffers)

Are there no trainspotters with their eye on the Finnish league? How did he do?

Mandarin (possibly); Finnish; New Zild: our own answer to Jose and Arsen?

Good signing - and with him being Chinese we already know he has Yellow Fever ...  I'll get my coat

Problem with signing Chinese players is that 3 hours later you want to sign another one

Coat's on, I'll shut the door on my way out....

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Diodn't see much of the end of last season, if this guy was influential in the wins then I'm way stoked to have him back with the team!!!! From th reports I've read he seems to have what we need - mind you anything will be better than Elrich!

Amazingly quick going forward.  Didn't get the support he needed at the Knights, no-one to pass to in the middle because he was so fast.
Zippy down the left.
He knows where the goal is.
Keeps the ball down.
Increased the crowd size by a couple of hundred.
Lots of red scarves and attractive/cool looking new Kiwis (I don't want to say ultra hot super lightening babes and their fit looking boy friends, but you get the picture)

Lei Lei.  Some of our enemies are conspiring against us with evil thoughts (they think you were a bit of a 'diver' at the Knights).  We will resist such untruths and will follow the great Mr Miyagi San's words to defend your honour:

He looked very good for the knights so am very pleased to se him signed.

Didn't he cost Mypa a huge amount of money, like a million dollars???

If so do we have him on loan, or was he such a big flop there they cut their losses?

think GAO will be a great signing but also eagerly waiting to find a  striker that has pace and prefabaly  can shoot with both feet.

also think that if the wellington chinese community  discover our latest signing who knows we could add a few thousand extra though the turnstiles. that would great and hopefully pull the average crowd close to 15,000

Which might be to our detriment, especially if we get labelled as Falung Gong sympathisers by Wellington City Council and are told to disperse as we are holding an 'illegal gathering'!
