I see Glen Moss is copping it big time on YouTube for his performances for the Victory, although I don't think he is playing to badly.

he let in 3 goals last night, but to be honest, melbournes defence was very average in that 1st 20 minutes

I thought he should have stopped the first one. he was too far off his line. it was hit without a great deal of power and directly at him.

THe bridge volley from the Cole cross was impossible to save. The bridge finish into the bottom corner, well, maybe at a stretch he could have saved it, but it went through the defenders legs and into bottom corner so a massive ask.

Don't you think it is strange that no matter where he plays the opposition are sure to score plenty of goals. Even with one of the leagues top defences in Melbourne?

Yes that is strange

Our 'top' defence did Mossy no favours last night, although I do think he could have done better against one of the goals. In short, the jury is still deliberating on the virtues of one Glen Moss.

The good news is that as long as everyone fixates on it being Moss's fault they will continue to ignore far bigger problems in that Melbourne side and they will surely implode.

Seriously, Kruse to replace Allsopp ?  Wtf were they thinking ?

How's my driving? - Whine here

I thought we brought Kruse in to replace Moss.

Yeah, they aren't talking up how he wasn't able to go to the world cup, but in the 442 how he is a sheep shagger. Could have done better on the first two goals, but neither were howlers.

was at the game and thought that moss was left in the firing line.the first goal was questionable i agree, however the last two were pure defensive frailties that led to him being exposed.the victory looked poor compared to sydney which is ominous.
spoke to an old scottish guy in the beer cue, and he said the familiar words 'moss doesnt come out for crosses'.which is interesting to hear from the victory perspective.
overall, he got put out to slaughter, but he did get a baggin from sections of the crowd.not good for him.

Moss is just the easy cop out for a lacklustre Melb defence this season.

Strange how last season with a worst defence they did better but change the goalkeeper and put in a Fulham defender and you do worse?

Eh, I go to every Melbourne home game and he hasn't responsible for most goals.  Hasn't been amazing either, though.

Agreed. It's easier to bag Moss than to dare bag Vargas or Muscat.

It's funny looking at these things a few months on.

The Victory defence seems a lot more confident in Langerak.

Kruse wasn't signed as Allsopp's replacement, 2 different players.

In terms of MVFC though Hard-On, they seem to be going OK. There's still some lingering doubts about Merrick, but other than that, they are going OK.

Just the same as Moss wasn't at fault for most Phoenix goals last season but we are much better defensively without him

I'm just saying...

Normo's coming home

What a disaster signing for Melbourne has been for Moss. Come back home to Wellington!

with Ricki signalling they might look for another keeper, I'd say this is a possibility.

Same here, could well work, I was thinking that Moss would come back here, then Theoklitos go back to Victory... But obviously now Theo is with Roar so that plan won't eventuate.

Damn.  Were they Moss' fault?

Watched the game, thought Moss was at fault in his positioning for the 2nd goal.
Other than that the players in front of him were completely out classed. As Kawasaki ran rings around them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PJayQyAQCc  Found that.  Melbourne were terrible.  Defence screwed Moss over again.  That fourth goal was disgraceful, almost didn't look like the defence were trying.

I don't think he was at fault for the second goal.  That wasn't bad positioning, I thought he could've done more to stop the third goal though (it did have massive curl on it) but I thought Vargas could have done more as well.  Vargas is garbage though.

Can't expect too much of him after not playing for over 6 months except the Mexico game.
You know we belong together...

You could say the game was "a full Frontale lobotomy of Melbourne!"

I haven't seen any footage but the FourFourTwo website match review does give some praise to Mossy in saying:
"A brilliant piece of athleticism saw Moss deny Tokanobu Komiyamu."
