Story here

Benicio, 29, is a close friend of Phoenix midfielder Daniel and travelled to New Zealand with a view to picking up an A-League contract next season. He has been training with the Phoenix.

(I thought this had possibly been mentioned elsewhere but couldn't find the thread).

Cole Tinkler, mentioned in the same article, might have potential in the Phoenix backline.
Anyone know much about him?
Great name for xmas chants next season.

Another midfielder? Great for Team Welly, but midfield is where the Phoenix depth is...unless a few players get cut of course.

Hopefully we'll see him in action at Newtown soon.

On close examination of that photo, I actually don't think there is another Brazilian - it's just Daniel wanting some games while he's suspended. liverpoolfan12007-12-20 15:03:50

The suspension is irrelevant - he was given those two weeks off anyway so it has no impact whatsoever. The ref could have given Daniel his daughter instead of a yellow card and he'd still not play the next two games. No need to resort to Man Ure

Why on earth would you stoop to the low levels of man u? Daniel was flying home well before he got yellow carded on Friday.

Queenslander 3x a year.

We need to get the guy that got cassio for adelaide to get us another brazilian, He offered another brazilian (the name escapes me right now) to the jets I think. But for some reason it broke down and now he is the lead goal scorer in the Brazilian top league.

They could do both? Arrange to have Danielle give birth in the Fever Zone.

" um menino!!" (It's a boy!)
"WHO ARE YA? WHO ARE YA?"
"Eu no lhe dei um nome!!!" (I have not named it!)

Plus that'd give Daniel Jr NZ citizenship, perhaps a future with the All Whites?

Just met him down at Raf's, seems like a good bloke and he speaks English well enough, which is always a plus  He will be playing against Waitak. He also told me to bring as many Feverites down as possible, so anyone who doesn't usually come to Team Welly matches - WHO ARE YA?  (4pm this Sunday at Newtown Park - BE THERE!)

Yeah, Brazilians are renowned throughout the footballing world for their defensive abilities

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
