he's not a founder and debatable he's intelligent. good luck getting an apology though.
 
On your point - can you tell me the salary of your club's coaches over the past three years?

Yes I can.  2008 = $0, 2009 = $0, 2010 = a bottle of wine each.
 
I know what you are getting at but just because most of this information is not available, doesn't mean its right does it?
 
This whole thing has got a little bit out of hand in that I made a simple point that was disagreed with and it got personal rather than constructive. All it means is that some of us have formed a certain view of how we perceive some other posters. The fact that Smith reads into a comment about talking face to face as some physical threat perhaps shows his embarrassment at making such a low comment in the first place. I would gladly have this debate with him face to face and I still would doubt if he would dare insult me in the same way. He thinks he would,  I'm not going to hunt him down in the Backbencher or anything to test his theory.

i think it does. Its up to those who are employed or elected to make decisions on certain things. It might not be in the best interests of the organisation to make 100% those decisions public.

I still don't think it does  and I understand your last point. Perhaps we can agree that the likes of FvH are at least accountable? If they make bad decisions there is a process that can be used to make them pay forthose  bad decisions.Its a risk they take I suppose. I am a bit off topic now tho.

Yes I do, maybe within a range. As it stands at the moment, I can see what is spent on wages in the annual report to clubs but it doesn't stipulate who gets what. I think that if the only potentially sensitive transactions your club enters into is buying a bottle of Sav, then I think I am wasting my time with this argument

Just to put an end to the matter; at the end of the day it is up to the indivisual organisation on how transparent they want to be. Either way, the continuance in their roles will be determined by the membership in some way or the other. I am not without experience in the matter that Feverish was alluding to; I have employed coaches and players at both club and regional level [in another sport] and the cost of salaries, travel, accommodation etc was all recorded openly and available to members if they wished to see it. We were quite happy for things to be transparent and to have our decisions open to discussion or audit. We had nothing to hide, in some way that makes me a little suspicious when others aren't  quite so open. It's not what you see, it's what they won't let you see.

You're outraged that every little thing wasnt told to you,then you turn around and conclude that it is up to the individual organisation on how transparent they want to be.

Maybe I didn't make it clear, I think they should be transparent along the lines I have argued but at the end of the day each organisation is going to make their own decisions on that and some of them may end up paying the price of losing their jobs if their membership thinks badly enough of their decision.  I also don't think it's fair to say I wanted every little thing told to me, reading through the thread with an open mind will find  that wasn't what I said or intended. I'm finished with this thread now thanks - nothing more to be gained from further correspondence.
