do you think you should know the salary of all Central Football staff?
Yes I do, maybe within a range. As it stands at the moment, I can see what is spent on wages in the annual report to clubs but it doesn't stipulate who gets what. It doesn't take much for me to work out around how much people might be getting [there aren't many working for CF]. In saying that, questions would be asked if the wage bill was high. Look in 99% of circumstances, if things are going well, profits are being made, all is happy, there is no need to know what people are being paid. When things aren't going well [like now] where we've had to bail out the national body, where we are paying more and more in subs and seeming to get less and less in return, these questions need to be asked to keep our representatives honest. What is wrong with that? There seems to be this barrier to some of you where its not right or proper for us to know how our money is spent. I can't understand that. I am the president of my club, everything we spend is accounted for and open to scrutiny by our members. If I want to spend $200 on buying wine for the coaches in the club, then it is recorded and open to scrutiny. If any club member wants to know how much I spent on wine, I will tell them and they can read it in the annual report. We have nothing to hide and see nothing wrong with that. When people aren't open and won't tell you what they are spending your money on - that's when I get suspicious. If what NZF are doing is right, then they should have no problem in declaring it. Remember, at the time of first posting this, NZF refused to even say what the money was being spent on, it was only after TS said what it was for that NZF even declared this. My original argument has been lost amongst all this.
