I love the way the pundits all consider Smeltz the greatest striker since sliced bread yet consider our 2 new strikers who played day in and day out at a much higher level than Smeltz and scored goals at that level (as opposed to 2 in umpteen matches at Conference level) just standard Journeymen.

NZ doesn't have quality punditry. That might change with Paul Parker, although i have to say his views tend to be a bit Manc-centric if you ever read his blog on eurosport.com

Hey

is there a Sky Fantasy A League Football competition this year? I see there is one on Fox Sports  but prizes only for Aussie players.

I've checked Sky's website and there is nothing.

Cheers

Ifill has never scored many goals and Smeltz is proven in this league. Has scored a good amount of goals for 2 seasons straight. It's understandable.

Does any Anorak head know what Smeltz's scoring ratio was compared to the chances created?

Very good first season, about twice as good as Griffiths if I remember correctly.

The whole world should be Manc-centric if for no other reason than they have the best bands in the world, according to me.

Hell after winning the Masters 1 title yesterday though, I'm so looking forward to today and the game. Let's hope we get off to a good start with a win.
