T-X clearly overkill - but did you not think that there was a whole lot more to that late payment story than meets the eye?? I thougth the players union guy was saying a lot without saying anything
Depends what you're looking for I suppose.
The PFA obviously have a heightened sense of concern about the Phoenix at the moment (like a lot of people) and apparently this isn't the first time the Nix have paid players a day or two late.
That said, they have always paid the players in the past and all businesses have payroll issues from time to time without getting themselves on the front page of the Dom Post.
I thought the most significant thing was Schwab saying "There have been some concerns raised by many regarding the current owner
of Wellington Phoenix but there's a strong level of commitment to
support him, given what he's done for the game". The PFA obviously feel that they are better off supporting Terry, rather than trying to get him removed. That tells me that they (and the Nix players) aren't aware of, or don't want to promote, any alternative ownership options.
You may have read something else into it though?
