Who's gonna win. And why.

It will be won in the loose forwards and inside backs for me, the Soialo waldrom masoe lilo vito grouping and with whoever starts will need to get on top of McCaw/ Read and Hopgood. Read is horrendously overrated and Masoe and Rodders will show him up i think.
Also no team has quite figured out how to stop Piri at first five yet, if Cantebury can't Wellington will win. Ellis like Read is overrated and Mathewson will show him up.
In summation i just think Wellington will have to many match winners across the field and on the bench

TBH I think if I was Neutral I would struggle to pick a winner, but I'm gonna go with Canterbury.

All over the park its pretty even. In saying that I think we'll have you in the loose. McCaw is gold and Reid isn't bad at all. Unless Masoe has a blinder to support the always solid Rodney I can see us winning the battle of 6/7/8.

Impossible for sheep shaggers NOT to win - both teams are from New Zealand

[QUOTE=Gangsta!]Anyone know ticket prices?

They're listed on the Ticketmaster website.

Hawkes Bay. someone will review the tape if the semis and discover that canterbury are a bunch of twats, so they are all banned for life. then wellington will crumble under the might hawkes bay mob mentality forward pack

You mean like how Wellington crumbled to Hawke's Bay by beating the Magpies 30-6 this season?

Cantabs showed that they like to play the game in the oppositions back line and the refs dont mind if they stand up offside. One way to beat the magpies I guess. Ritchie McCaw "Offside Player Extrordinaire."

You need a third option of who cares? you know why - rugby is sh*te, hell I will even watch the Kiwis take a hiding from the Kangaroos before I watch this crap.

In saying that, go Wellington!

Canterbury, because Wellington can never beat Canterbury in a finals situation. Canty have the experience and Wellington are lacking a wee bit of discipline still!

Aite, basically all my Canterbury mates aren't making the trip and anyone I know well in Wellington doesn't like Rugby, including the people I'm staying with.

So if anyone doesn't mind if a Canty fan tags along PM me. And I don't care if you support Wellington, Just as long as your Gracious in defeat

Cheers Gangsta!2008-10-20 20:19:51

I think you meant this:

"I have no mates so can I tag along with someone who will pretend to be my mate?"

Went to the game, was not impressed by the standard of play however the weather was unforgiving. Really good sized crowd considering the conditions. Shame Welly couldn't continue their great start to the season. We had plenty of chances to bang over a droppy for the win late in the game but we turned the ball over every time. Congrats Canterbury, undeniably one of the best dynasties in NZ sport.

I was sitting in the fever zone, no one can figure out how Lawerence allowed the try when the cantab actually dropped the ball. But I was told he gave Hawkes bay the same treatment last week that he dished out to Wellington tonight. The second question to be asked was, Did Canterbury actually have a moment when they were not offside? No one runs that fast and they were up on the Wellington guys before they even received the ball.

I dont mind Wellington losing to a better team, but when they lose to a bunch of cheating pricks, I do. there were so many professional fouls, killing the ball by Ritchie Mccheating prick, yet the refs appear as if they are scared to penalise him in case they dont get a test match to ref.

Steve Walsh is bad enough so too is Kelvin Deaker, but now Bryce Lawerence has shown he too can ruin a good game with a substandard peice of biased reffing. I gather that the commentators were saying as much as well.

Canterbury, if you had won fair and square I would have accepted it. But you cheated with the referees full endorsement & encouragement, what a hollow victory. Mind you, WHO holds the Ranfurly Shield??

I started watching the game, and got bored, so spent the second half re-attaching corn to a cob with superglue.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

went to bar edward- no atmosphere- rugby fans? probably at the game tbf

game was pretty boring- i had more fun giving cliched txt updates to my mate who was incommunicado in a hut in Taupo

i suppose it was a final, not normally the most exciting games but i cannot imagine many neutral enjoyed it, nor would it have won new fans to the game

Best outcome for Wgtn cos now we can concentrate on hosting our first world cup without the distraction of another friggin parade to organise
