Bluddy funny actually... who's gonna win it?

I really don't care (obviously) but hope the Cats don't... they play horrible footy - though I guess it's understandable given their coach so using the opposite logic would like to see the Hawks get up, even though Buddy is a c*ck.

Surely it's got to be the Hawks or Cats....If the Cats win tonight, they end up playing Freo or the Hawks?

I'm stoked the pies have gone...I see Nick Dal Santo might be delisted by the Saints too....what are we doing.

Its a throwback to the days when Sydney were shite and couldn't attract players so they have an additional amount in their salary cap for these types of signings. Typical AFL still see Sydney as an AFL backwater so they haven't changed the rules!

Two teams who might struggle this year? Although I see my Sainters won there first game albeit against the Dees.

Bluddy Lions are a shambles, and now Daniel Rich is gone for the season... so... who's going on ANZAC Day?

I am, hopefully the weather is a bit better so we can see a better game this time.

Forecast isn't looking good. OOOOOO when the Saints. We have actually started well this year. Surprisingly so.

Brisbane looking pretty shaky huh?

Permalink Permalink

Shaky is an understatement NB - no depth, JB slow start to the season (and ageing) and one of our top three players gone for the season.

Both teams get pumped on the weekend. Wellington game might be between the two bottom clubs!

Actually watched that game on sommet. What a hiding. I don't know much about AFL but could tell early on that Adelaide were clearly the better team.

Think AFL is growing on me. I like the continuous nature of it, whereas NRL and rugby stop every 30 seconds for injuries, scrums or to check with video ref for 5mins at a time to see whether a try was scored.

Yip, we're knackered. Too many injuries - no experience (Browny aside). It's pretty bluddy ordinary!

I've followed the Hawks since I was a little kid and they played the '83 grand final on TV. I've been to two games in Wellington and one in Melbourne (Hawks v 'Roos, back in the Wayne "Tosser" Carey days when we got beat badly). My mate in Aussie backs the Swannies so they're my second team.

Turned out to be a pretty decent night for it. Saints should have won that but I bet SurgeQld is rather happy atm. Disappointing about the crowd tho.

Yeah crowd was disappointing, but I had a great night.

Helped out by the Mezzanine bar, good food, better beer, and then the game really turned it on near the end, was an awesome finish.

Indeed. Yellow and Brown should be illegal in any sports uniform.

Hawks won about a dozen consecutive centre bounce contests in Q2 to build that 7 goal lead. Long way back from here swannies.

I may be extremely biased here so can someone else watching tell me if the Umpires are being harsh on the Swans?

Possibly. They certainly have had not had the better of it... but... of greater import, the Hawks have bossed the Swans in the middle of the park.

Hawks wanted it more in q1; won a string of centre contests in q2 as they built their lead; and their speed, precision & brilliance closed the gate in q3. Game over.

Hawthorn's Will Langford for Norm Smith Medal in my opinion...
