If i keep replying to obsolete threads, then maybe, just maybe, one day- I too will be a back room staff member

Lol, Modding is fun and hard work. It's amazing what schemers that are out there. Database banning, double accounts, sockpuppets, meatpuppets etc. If you think trollers are bad, Imagine the idiots that PM you.

On the gentler side, you get really good fans and friends on the site and they keep you happy with the stimulated interest and diverse ideas and even a speculative solution to an existing problem. It's a great feedback format.

However, my advice, being a moderator on another interest site, is for people not to ask moderators how to become a moderator. That tends to drops you to the bottom of the list and closes the door on you because there are many other people that have as much potential to be a moderator as you have.

Usually if you have shown your worth on the site over time then you will be asked by the head moderator if you like to be one. You have to be up with the game and be very involved before any decent showing to be asked to be one.

First rule: don't ask.
Second rule: prove yourself worthy.

It's a lot of work and time involved and sometimes Moderators will "retired" because of personal commitments.
