Yep, love watching Baseball. The challenge berween batter and pitcher can be like a game of chess, each trying to outsmart the other.

Thats right LG,  I also like the Bluejays.  Skydome was my second home when I lived in Toronto.

I was lucky enough to be at one of the last games at old Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium.  It was quite an experience.  But I do despise the Yankees and A-Roid!

Feel sorry for the umpire - good on him for insisting on seeing the video straight after the game and then going into the locker room to apologise (apparently in tears). Was a horrendous call though.

I went to 2 Pittsburg Pirates games at the old Three Rivers Stadium. The episode of the Simpsons where Homer stays sober and heads to the baseball, a wonders how anyone could find the game interesting when sober, sums it up perfectly - even getting drunk at the game.

One the games I went to  - it was with a group of 50 or so Irish university exchange students, we were so bored, that by the 5 or 6 innings we all left to go to the pub.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Massive 5th innings from the Giants. 6 Runs to take them to an 8-2 lead, fought back from 2-0 down after 2 innings.

Turns out it wasn't just that it was during exams that I liked the World Series

game 3 today. can Texas notch up a win? losing 9 runs to nil isn't a good sign. hopefully for the series they can get in a good performance, especially at home.

San Francisco Giants are World Series champions

Happy they beat those Rangers (mainly because of their connections with the Bush's and Hicks')

Glad giants won it though.

There's an exciting looking triple header on Tuesday starting at 945 on sky, with nz vs Guam aus vs Guam then the big game nz vs aus.

They're U16 sides,Curtis granderson (ny Yankee) has been working with the nz side and apparently there is some talent that'll be interesting to check out. Also saw on the news there may be a growth in the Aussie league with the inclusion of a nz side and tv rights etc.

So we may see a lot more of these guys in the future.

Will be good viewing!

Game against Aus not going quite so well. Looks like the mercy rule is about to be invoked. Terrible fielding errors in the first innings pretty much put us out of the game.
Permalink Permalink

Yeah, both errors in the first inning were double plays which would have seen the inning end with no runs scored. Instead they got 6. Game changing for sure.

Australia do look the goods though.

The game against Guam was great however!

Right you are.

Wonder how many regular season games will be shown on espn?

I doubt it'll be daily,as these spring training games are in a few hours earlier than regular season ones. Last year it tended to be if anything else clashed with it,baseball was last on the priority list on espn.

During the postseason however they showed one of the series on a sky sport channel if it clashed with something on espn, which was cool.

Considering as usual to get MLB tv. But it works out at about $150,and would probably eat up bandwidth (so would end up costing more)
