I too have been looking at MLB.TV.  We have bought Apple TV so it is already connected and set up, just need to pay for it and watch hours and hours of baseball that will end up in me divorced.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Do you have a monthly internet usage limit?

That is the only thing that is stopping me from getting it,as either I'll be able to watch only 1 game a week (I think) or it'll cost more.

What to do what to do?

unlimited broadband.

My problem would be the time I would waste watching it (as opposed to the time I waste lying on the couch watching football, sh*t movies and re-runs of old TV shows)

Yeah when you pay that kind of money you're kind of investing time also.

They have condensed games and highlights available too mind you.

Wish I had unlimited broadband. But also have the same doubt that I'd have the time to watch enough (that isn't already on tv) to make it worth it anyway

quite like to watch this one.  I love Doger stadium.  Doesn't look like they're repeating the games later at night which is a bummer.

Was in the States recently and went to a AAA league game - great fun.  My tickets were in the front row behind home plate (just off to the side so view not obscured by the Umpire/Pitcher).  There were 3 HR's and a bench clearing brawl after a batter got hit (no punches thrown but all the pitchers having to run from the bull pen, arriving in time for everyone to go back to the benches/positions was funny).

Heaps of AL players flagged the game. The NLs pitching was a mile better, figured they'd win.

anyone watching the world series? I don't really have a loyalty to either team, but rather St Louis wins cause it would suck if George Dubya Bush's state won.

Is a great world series so far, mix of great hitting and great pitching. A 7 game series would be nice

I would rather watch paint dry.

Go the Cardinals! Was in St Louis earlier this year, didn't get to see a Cardinals game unfortunately. I have a Cardinals shirt and Cardinals keyrin. At least Robb's Cubbies arn't in the World Series...

It will be epic when the cubs do finally win one though.

I also am meh on both sides, but find myself going for Texas,no particular reason.

Good ws so far!

Was hoping Tampa bay would make it through after their epic final day. Also went to see them earlier in the year and loved it,so would have been cool had they made it all the way. Maybe next year!Tegal2011-10-26 19:14:13

Epic meltdown by the Red Sox this year, went to a couple of games just before they bottled the season (wins against the A's and the NYY).

Fenway is a brilliant ball park.

To be honest, I don't know anything about baseball. I just know that when I was in a Cardinals shop, half the t-shirts were Cardinals shirts, and the rest were anti-Cubs shirts.

Holy sh*te, Cardinals down by two leading into the bottom of the 9th, one out left, and Freese hits it out into the outfield, bringing home two runners to tie the scores. Absolutely incredible.

Haha did think it'd be wise to avoid all media - especially a thread titled "baseball"!

Rangers get to replay game 6 over and over in their heads for the next 5 months.

Tickets purchased for the Mets vs Diamondbacks in a couple of weeks - 12 rows from the dug-out, between 3rd and home.  Very excited.

I assume you can stream baseball just as easily as other sport? I know the ML guys are pretty tough on youtube highlights etc

Can recommend MLBTV. Though it isn't exactly free obviously.

At worst, I would recommend highlights and game recaps/blogs of your favourite teams. I didn't have MLB TV, and even if I did, live games are a bit too tedious, especially if you're sitting at a computer. So any way you can get the condesed version of the whole game, or just throw yourself in to the team's blogosphere, it's a must-do, I did it fully for my Mariners last year, and even though we are totally depressing it was a very fun experience.

I too want a 40,000,000 per year contract for 7 years. It'd be a struggle but I could live with it and the adulation.
