seems pretty clear cut really, if you think it's smart to use a marked bus lane as a short curt then you deserve to get ticketed.

Oh no.  Our wonderful council doesn't gather revenue  per se.  Not for parking during sporting events, or when the mobile car cameras snap people getting out of cars that aren't parked.

Were there signs say "Road Closed" & offering a detour? No, therefore you CAN go down Cuba St. Just because there's work barriers down the other end doesn't mean the road is closed. There are strict traffic control rules involving contractors. If the road is closed due to road works, there WILL be signs saying so.

I hear the council are looking at wavering any fines in light of the monumental cock-up it all was.

It's fair enough that they have a camera there,since people are using itbas a shortcut. The road works was a one off moment of confusion,and they're waiving the fine on that day.

What's the problem/conspiracy..?
