+ Monteiths, although not craft were small scale and brewed in one location. Now I don't even bother with it.
Craft Beer - a thread of beer snobbery and looking down one's nose
Yeah the go-ahead breweries down here are Golden Bear in Mapua & Townshends in da Moot.
Mussel Inn have a couple of goodies too

Didn't know that about Founders, are they still based in the historic park in Nelson?
They are - the deal wasn't a straight sell out it Founders still own the brand or something like that
The brewery in Nelson is used for developing new and speciality brews while the stuff you get in the supermarkets and bottle stores is made at Boundry Road

yes Hop Federation took over the Monkey Wizard brewery in Riwaka and changed the name and beers (which are miles better than Monkey Wizard's were) - the guy that owns it used to work for Hallertau in auckland

I have just worked out that if I keep this up until the end of the season I will be trying 102 different beers! So If anyone has any ideas for beers to try or wants to try some with me and have a yarn about football (and give me some better beer notes!) get in touch.

Wow.
Habanero infused maize beer. Packs a punch.
This is the white can of the two day of the dead beers right? I prefer the black one (it's a chili chocolate dark lager iirc) but they definitely both pack a punch!
How much a can?
The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!
How much a can?
Not sure as I got the 750ml bottle which was $15.
If you haven't been to the GP Cellar Door, I suggest you do. 2L flagons are about $20-$25 depending on alcholo content.

Thanks for the advice.

I am looking at doing Febrewary again this year - drink (and review) a different beer for the 28 days of the month. They don't all need to be beers you have never tried before but ideally something more interesting than just having a Heineken one day, and a Speights the next. Trying to round up enough interest to set up a website - ideally with a number of people reviewing craft beers we can get some ideas of ones to try and see what is highly ranked. Anyone here interested?
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
I believe this is within the scope of my tasting procotols.
Let me know how, when and where to submit tasting analyses.

A great excuse for a pint of Baylands Brewery craft beer

Had the Cucumber Saison from Knave brewery at Rogue and Vagabond the other day, really refreshing. There's a lot of interesting beer on tap at the moment, the third eye had a Wellington beer takeover for Wellington aniversary.
Black Arrow is quite nice too
First time I had tried Townshends. Will investigate further!

Baylands Brewery and Queen of Jackson are helping LFC Wellington raise money this Thursday and will have Rock Solid on tap!

So...Garage Project + other Wellington breweries and the Phoenix.
Exciting times!
"...sure beats doin' stuff."
Yep - this is a good move. I have no doubt the popularity of the craft beer cart at Aisle 20 last year confirmed the punters need. Those poor beggars couldn't keep up with demand!

Craft beer goes with everything.
Including more craft beer
