I'm now a two bike man again (4 bike family) and have got this operating for the first time in a decade.  I love it::

Aww man that's a beauty. Steel, with fantastic down tube shifters, what size are the tires? if 700x23 I have a better set than those kenda's for free.

I bet it's a beauty to ride and it looks fantastic.

Please don't make it into a single speed fixie like so many great 70's early 80's bikes get changed into these days by idiots.

Thanks for sharing.

Chrome-moly even rather than steel.  She's light as a feather (unless you compare her to carbon).  Zero chance on the fixie thing, just had her Shimano (can't remeber the model) all tightened and tidied.  Just need to look at the handlebar geometry.  Think they may need to come up just a little.

I'll check the tire size.  Those were cheap with free tubes on special so in my price range.  Also new pedals (first lesson, should have spent more on decent Shimano's than cheap brand X), new seat, new tape, new cables.

Scott make beautiful bikes I don't care what folk say they are just lovely to ride. You will love this bike and it will make you happier and healthier so Mrs News has no argument.

Well done sir.

Needs a shorter handlebar stem, the previous owner (forumite Mossy) is a few inches taller and it's a bit of a stretch.

Knocked 1:10 of my commute this morning. Puncture on the way home made that a bit slower.  Third puncture in the last 10 days across all bikes.  Luckily Mossy packed me a spare tube under the seat.

Good man.

Capital Cycles are selling Conti Black Chillie tyres for around $65 each, (half price), they are bomb proof and very fast. Probably the best tyre I've ever used.

Is anybody else going to be watching Oprah for the first time tomorrow at 3pm for Lance Armstrong interview?  It's on Discovery channel at 3pm.

I have it set to record, undecided if I want to watch him blame everyone, but himself or if I just make it a drinking game :)

It was gorgeous this morning.  No wind, just road a bit damp in a few place so had to be careful on my descent.  Hopefully wind stays away or is light from the South for a ride home.

Ooh, can't wait. I've just moved from Tawa from Petone so cut the gorge and J'ville-Tawa hill out of my commute. Can't say I'm too upset about that.

Every mention of Livestrong?

Every time he blames someone else?

Finish the vessel if he jumps on Oprah's couch? (I really want this to happen - Any chance to mock Tom cruise is worth it)

Every time he says 'everyone does it, so it's okay'

Every time he criticises USADA.

Every time he says that he is disappointed.

Can we just have on rule "book" if you want to add just quote this and add the addition.  Let's keep it not TOO hard to follow.

I will jump on here when I get home to watch and you can all watch me get drunk (via my postings).

Consume the bottle if he throws the UCI under the bus as complicit.

And I think we should just keep the rules we have so far I <3 Nix, they seem pretty comprehensive without covering everything he could possibly say.

I may print them before I leave work so I have a reference.

Now to decide what I'll drink....
