"Regarding the media coverage there has been several reports have described me as a "household name". I think we all agree that description is totally inaccurate."

I used to knock around with Martin and his brother during our teenage years. Nothing has changed with him since then. The only thing to his credit is that way back in 1975/76 he was a Manure fan and has been one ever since, just like his brother.

I hope the title of this thread isn't saying that sitting on the bonnet of your partner's car is comparable to hitting your partner?

yeah's what I thought too. What Devlin did was silly but no one got hurt.

Read the first line of the thread and you'll see I don't think its comparable at all

From Stuff....

Broadcaster Martin Devlin was "pulled off" a plane and taken into police custody this afternoon.

Wellington airport police told Fairfax that Radio Live host Devlin was taken off a Jetstar flight around 12.10pm in Wellington after the captain called for help.

"I can confirm that he was pulled off the flight," the police officer, who did not want to be named, said.

A source on the flight alleged Devlin was being abusive and disruptive but police would not be drawn into exactly what he did.

"It is between us and Mr Devlin but he hasn't been charged with any offence.

"He came voluntarily off the flight. We were called to the aircraft by the captain and we were acting on his instructions.

"He assisted us with our inquiries."

Devlin, 46, could not be reached for comment.

Flights between Auckland and Wellington were disrupted earlier today due to fog in Auckland.

In December last year Devlin was arrested for disorderly conduct after his family missed the Waiheke ferry in Auckland because he had been watching a football game and he stomped on his car.

"I have no problem in admitting that I behaved like a right plum that morning," Devlin said at the time.

He received diversion.

Last Sunday afternoon, Devlin was absent from his regular Radio Live sports slot, although some pre-recorded interviews were used.

Maybe he thought, anything Ryan can do, I can do better?

Maybe he was trying to get the pilot to fly him to London to watch the CL final at Wembley this weekend.

2 marriages, 1 longish term relationship. His batting is not very good. Perhaps it is that wonderful engaging personality? 2  years only??

That actually happens?

He's a bit of a cliché.
