haha, MLS = Columbus Crew
NHL = Leafs since I have a puck of theres and I know you hate it :)

You do realise the Leafs are owned by the same company who own Toronto FC, right? So by supporting the Maple Laughs, you are also supporting the hated rivals of your beloved Crew?

And yes, I do realise that by supporting Toronto FC I'd be supporting the hated rivals of my beloved Ottawa Senators. Which is partially why I support Vancouver Whitecaps haha

I hope you mean "Go to the Pittsburgh Country Club and start playing golf after losing to Ottawa in the first round" Game one - Ottawa 5, Pittsburgh 4. Managed to catch the last fifteen minutes of it. Pittsburgh's last goal was pretty decent, but fortunately not enough to change the result!

Good win for the sens. Don't worry Sidneys (correct spelling this time) Penguins will bounce back

Yay the Phoenix Coyotes won too!

0-0 at the first intermission between the Canucks and Kings. Montreal pulled off an upset with a 3-2 OT win over Washington.

Highlights looked good. 2 out of 3 picks not bad.

up today:

I reckon Penguins (cause they are at home), Philly, Chicago, Detroit and Colorado will win today.

Lucky win for the Penguins. Played with one less defenceman due to injury, against a Brian Elliott who has been on FIRE! (Hardly believe he started the season as a backup and started last season in the AHL), and managing a decent goal in the last few minutes. Could've gone either way, but that's hockey. Shaping up to be a good series this one, next match in Ottawa!

Good win for the Penguins today.  4-2 and also same score for Coyotes and RedWings, in Phoenix's favour.

I'm lovin' it!

Sens currently in OT against the Pittsburgh Pretty Boys. Had a game winning goal waved off as being kicked in. Need the win to stay in the hunt, GO SENS GO

7 mins into 3rd overtime the Sens take it out 4-3.  Keeps the series alive!  Game 6 in Ottawa.  Should be a goodie!

Third overtime. This is officially the longest match in Senators history. We're not giving up that easily!

Longest match in NHL history was when the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Montreal Maroons in the 6th overtime (I remember something about St. Louis v. Montreal Canadiens being pretty damn long too)

MATT CARKNER YOU LEGEND! GWG IN 3OT!

OTTAWA 4 PITTSBURGH 3!

the pretty boy brigade will get through   Though if the Senators did win, it would be an amazing comeback from being 3-1 down.

First casualties of the play off - New Jersey Devils.

Vancouver go nuts 7-2 over the kings! Good game from Montreal today too to keep their series alive.

Yes, Mike Fisher scored a fourth for Ottawa, but the second best player in the NHL complained. So it was referred to the video ref's in Toronto, who after a fairly long wait disallowed it. Not sure of the circumstances yet.

Bummer Robb, thought it would go to 7 games. How did they lose from being 3-1 up? So full support to Vancouver for you now?

f**ksticks. XT goes down, only to return in time to tell me the Pens have score the OT-forcing goal, followed by the winner.

To be fair, I didn't expect us to win, the Penguins are one hell of a team and I don't begrudge us losing to them - although of course I'm disappointed. I just hope we didn't lose because an incorrectly disallowed goal, because a loss to Pittsburgh is fair. A loss to Toronto's video judges  is not.

Come on Canucks and Habs.

He chose an expensive way to brag about going to games, cause those tickets ain't t cheap! Surely he goes cause he loves the game?

tell me about it... I cdn't believe how much it cost the one time I went to a Canucks game and we bought our tickets way early and didn't get the best and I was like ouch.

He sometimes loves the game. I think every canadian has once again found their love for hockey after the olympics. Like many Vancouverians he was pretty anti the olympics but the hockey swept him up

He used to play casual pick up games than ring me to rub it in that I cd only play inline... but once I started damaging myself he was really handy and air freighted me some good protective gear

O6 - Heck no, won't tip against a Canadian team until the cup is back in the Great White North! (Disclaimer - Toronto is in Western New York, not Southern Ontario. Hence, the Maple Laughs are an American team. So they don't count - not that it matters, they're not a playoff team!)

SK - Wellington needs and ice rink, and we need it yesterday. Inline just can't compare. And yeah, my ex went to Canada v. Switzerland and rubbed it it haha.

Red Wings are out losing the best of 7 series 4-1 to the Sharks. Who would have thought the runners up from last year would be out in the 2nd round.

Why would I be happy, the Sens aren't involved :( Cheering for the other 4 Canadian teams is settling for second best haha.  At the very least it'd be nice to see Lord Stanley's Cup back in Canada, although I wouldn't be shocked to see San Jose beat Montreal in Game 7 given recent history
