Anybody else watching?  NZ are about to play Argentina, should be awesome.  I went to school for a few years with one of the chaps, Richie Edwards (number 5) before he moved to Florida - that's my claim to fame.  He's only 19 but it looks like he already has a receding hairline!  It's shaping up to be a good tournament, a number of NBA scouts from top teams are in Auckland for it and the camera just zoomed up on John Key looking somewhat bored.

Current score is Arg 4-2 Nzl

Tough luck for the boys, played very well, and went down by 2, 66-64, in a game they could have won and led in at HT.

Argies are a fancied side, so this was a top effort, but probably feels very gutting.

Big game tomorrow night, Croatia v NZ...

Considering the Americas and Eastern Europe are the powerhouses of world basketball (as I understand it) we're certainly going to have our work cut out against Croatia.  But if we can run Argentina close then we are more than capable of beating Croatia if we're on top form.

Anybody know anything about Kazakhstan?

Interesting Puerto Rico toppled Lithuania earlier.

Don't think Kazakhstan should be a problem for NZ based on what I read in the match report for the game earlier today.

66-64 loss to Argentina, almost won it in the last 10 seconds, except for a minor traveling error...

Queenslander 3x a year.

That travel could not have been at a worse time.  Absolutely infuriating to watch!

Croatia 79-72 over NZ tonight.

Croatia into the next round, NZ can still make the next round if they beat Kazakhstan tomorrow night.

Just saw the replay of Croatia v NZ - was that Ivan Vicelich in the crowd wearing an away Croatian shirt, or did my eyes deceive me?

If he was then I will fight him!

Great to see Richie Edwards do so well in the game.

Croatia 75-63 over the Argies, go through to next phase as group winners. Fun game to watch, lots of niggle too.

Kiwis have to beat Kazakhstan to progress further tonight, starts 7.30.

Talk about capitulation, a 14 point failure in the last quarter.

He made a disproportionate number of mistakes, although against Croatia his defence was quite good.

It's unexplicable in my view that NZ could stay close o quite clearl superior Argentina and Croatia, and then lose to a side that got thumped by both those teams by 30 points.

Crazy.

Its U19 sport. Teams go up and down like a yo-yo.
