Well, here's my framed coin collection. Probably worth even less than 3 quid as there's no booklet but who cares as they are priceless to me.

Very poor week in the Capes household for leftovers so my worms might be a nit hungry

I'm slightly disappointed!

While on this trip down nostalgia lane did anyone of you ex Englanders remember the sweet/biscuit Wagon Wheels? and Opal Fruits (made to make your mouth water, ooh!)?

Can remember getting back here and feeling most aggreived by the lack of good sweets (also partly because it was much harder to find any loose pence behind furniture and then being able to nip over the road to a sweet shop).

I was discussing Wagon Wheels just this morning with some English colleagues who I was trying to convince to go to the game tomorrow night. For me, midweek footbal was always, a wagon wheel and a cup of hot bovril.

Seem to be able to get most things here if you really want them (in Cool Britannia or even the British section of Pak'n'Save in Masterton) but I haven't seen Wagon Wheels so far. Personally I don't miss much apart from Ambrosia Creamed Tapioca.

Opal Fruits got "rebranded" into Starburst. Never the same after that.

I always loved Wagon Wheels until a mate of mine told me about people flegging in to the middle before they were 'assembled'.

Less than a litre this week from my guys. Probably need to add some more water with the scraps now it's a few degrees warmer.

Or maybe add a marathon bar - it keeps you going, going, going.

I'd probably just "P P P Pick up a Penguin" and give them that, myself.

Would like to see Virgil get out of that sticky situation.

Looks like you and FT could have some intergalactic worm farm wars. Galactica vs International Rescue.

Might see if I can get something from UFO into the next shot. No Photoshop'ing allowed though.

Mrs Capes did give me an odd look when I took the T2 and camera along when I was taking the food scraps down at the weekend. I tried to explain but she didn't seem to understand.

You must admit it does sound a bit weird.

Has she been keeping her distance since then and ushering the kids out of the room when you come in?

She can generally excuse my occasionally eccentric behavior with "It's OK, he's English. He has pickled onions on his pizza, you know."

I bet you can't wait until next weeks photo!

These Tiger worms are the business if you want to catch a trout !!
But don't tell anyone!!

So how do they do that? I've seen film of grizzly bears hooking salmon out of the water.

Do the tiger worms lie patiently on the bank and extend one end to tickle the trout?

Bring on the Angels in their interceptors!

Mind you the worms in shot look more like they're engaged in hemaphroditic conviviality rather than doing battle with Capt Scarlet.

I feel I should also be more pro-active in this thread. Maybe next week I'll send in a pic from my compost bin (sorry no worms - we're into vegetarian recycling).

I'd like to apologise regarding the lack of Dinky Toy/Worm Farm picture this week.

Unfortunately, I found some new entertainment this weekend when I set the Scalextric up (for the kids obviously) and our newly acquired kitten found it most amusing.capes2009-11-30 18:49:05

...meanwhile in Napier, C-Diddy's army of lactose intolerant cage fighting worms are steadily munching away on the abundant supply of organic waste from Diddy's kitchen, patiently awaiting their orders to commence taking over the world!

Looking forward to seeing our first drop of worm tea. Given that we've been farmers for 2 weeks now I think we are a few weeks off that momentous day though...
