Amazing, the only man ever to commentate on netball? Next thing you know, there'll be women commentating on Rugby!! (Said wiith tongue in cheek) I always wondered what his fascination was with netball. Perving??

Is that right HN? I hope he recovers or has he got that dread "C" disease? Despite my remark above, he has got one of those voices that is pleasant on the ear to listen to.

Of all places, Sth Africa has a comments woman alongside the main commentator on tv at Super 14 games.  I thought the yapiies kept them in a "Women Only" section of their stadiums.

Telfer is a crap indoor volleyball commentator at earlier Olympics.  The commentator at the Beijing Olympics was even crappier.

Steve Robilliard used to do the netball for ABC in Aus, so as the only two countries I know that televise Netball are NZ and OZ thats a 100% hit rate.
Sad to hear about his health, I quite like the guy. His battles with Allan Mac are always worth a listen and he is by far the best interviewer RS have. Book could be worth a read, I bet he has some good stories from down the years

I quite enjoy Brendan's show, he's not one to take a step back, sure he has his favourite sports to talk about but then again we all do, he still manages to cover most if not all sports at some stage throughout the week

If any of Brendan's  kids read or post on here,i hope your dad makes a speedy recovery

Cheers

That doesn't sound good to be honest. Hope he pulls through, and without serious damage.

He's sort of the Brian Moore of NZ TV, he has his favourites and we all know it, but we watch anyway because he throws in enough if,buts and maybes to make you stick around until the end, even if its a foregone conclusion.
Thank goodness he was near a decent hospital.  People can recover from that sort of thing but its always a risk.
