I like that the NZRU are trying to buck the trend of their usual "O
NOES WE LOST THE WORLD CUP FIRE THE COACH!" strategy, it shows a
development in maturity of the "dummy spitting egg chasers" haha. I
also like that they have someone who's lost the world cup, so he
knows what is at stake in terms of emotional investment.
That being said, I think Deans was the better candidate, and that
not only did Henry helm the most embarassing rugby world cup
campaign in NZ history, he also messed with the domestic game which
is the only form of rugby I care about - a childhood of cheering
for the Wallabies makes it hard to cheer for the All Blacks!
That being said - it's only rugby. I'm more concerned with the All
Whites getting to 2010
