England tour away we go. Very good opening win and followed up by a good start against the Lions. 102/2 at lunch. Don't know about anyone else but I have a good feeling about this tour. I'm at Lords on Day 4 and Headingley on Days 2 and 3. Can't wait!

I think we're going to be really aggressive batting wise - hard to predict if that's the right thing to do in England in May but I think we'll give it a decent shake

Normo's coming home

Probably is the better way to go about it if the decks are gonna be anything like the one they played on over night.

Fuck this stupid game

He may be a pain in the butt with his bat but he ain't half bad with the ball. 10 for Southee.

Sad conclusion, really went out with a whimper. On the plus side it meant I got to bed before 2am so will be less of a prick today.

I can't believe Buffy slagged us off too high. Horrible way to wake up. Despair.

They always do. I almost wish that they're involved in match fixing, it'd be preferable to just being this bad.

Even when you think about it...the amount of times we get into a good position to win, then lose a lot of wickets. Would make someone a bit of coin.

Allegedly

Was thinking if NZ Cricket ever needed a motto it would be "You dont need to bribe us to lose a game"

Outside of MS Dhoni, is McCullum the worst exponent of the use of DRS in world cricket?

edit: Just seen him waste the second one.  The answer is yes.

A suspicious looking man was talking to a New Zealander cricketer.  The Kiwi said 'The local team wants me to bat for them very badly.'  The man then said 'Well, you're just the man for the job.'

It's always used for him when he's batting too.

Could have lost by an innings if England felt like bowling for another 40-50 overs.  So pathetic.

It's almost worthy of a government inquiry.  It must stop.

I'd gotten used to watching NZ collapses sitting at the Basin, it isn't so bad when you're at home because is everyone is equally despondent and grumpy.

Watching it in a ground full of Yorkshireman, revelling in our failures. That's not fun. Not fun in any way.

It just annoys me that these same batsmen can't apply themselves in the same way for test matches. No IPL contracts to be gained from a test match I suppose.

Guptill has cemented his place as our best ODI batsman and worst Test batsman. Hopefully the selectors see this.
But let's not take away from what was an absolutely stunning innings, and a phenomenal series win.
