This thread is missing two things:

1) Pics

2) Poll

Three for me, and two for them.

Polls are too anonymous. I like to see who rather than just how many. That's a bad photo ^, btw.

If I did, I'd be thinking of Pauline Hanson.

I saw TVNZ last night which had footage of her shoot. She looked quite playful and seemed to enjoy it. Accent wasn't too bad.

What would be your opening line Cosimo?

Your quite right about the accent. I have to watch and listen to her every day at the moment.
She has just taken a hammering in the latest poll today.

Not sure where you get your info that Downer is a cheerleader for the Nazi party. He is the equivlent of a National Party follower in NZ.

OK Australian League of Rights, which is to all extents and purposes the Aust Nazi Party.

there was video footage of it around somewhere, which was a dag 'cos I seem to recall him saying he did not know who he was giving the speech too.

I wont start on his culpability involving East Timor. We have plenty of our own Pollires here with blood on their hands over that shoddy piece of $ before human rights.

Doesn't comparing a Party/person to Nazis who are nothing like the actual Nazis really belittle what the Nazis actually did?

If you were living in Germany or even Europe at the time the Nazis were in power, you'd be praying like f**k to live anywhere else, and to have Austn politicians in power.

Austn politicians are terrible in many ways, but be f**king reasonable.

probably ,but  are you saying the League of Rights is not founded on Nazi Ideology? How when comparing manifesto's can this be stated? I trust you've bothered to look into this.

what sort of comparison is this? Because our mob are not is bad as the Nazi Party be happy or worse still, grateful? Better the Plauge than Typhoid? MUFC or Chelsea?

East Timor is considered the 2nd greatest genocide per-ratio in the 20th Century after what Hitler did to the Warsaw Jews. So both failing to recognize this and giving a free pass to the Politicians who turned a blind eye to it (or in fact did very well out of it) indicates an apathy and cynicism far beyond "reasonable".

most politicians appear to be terrible in many ways. In any supposed Democracy it's important to call too account those in power  and speak truthfully at each opportunity. Besides it's all very well for Downer to have a go at Rudd, IMO part of the game, what I want to see is the Australian Media present exactly what sort of 'Man' is issuing the charges against Rudd.
