I hate to say it guys but I told you so!
I'm not a huge rugby fan but i love the 'canes as much as the next guy, and all season have been saying that Nonu will be the next 12 in the All Blacks and what do ya know!!!!

The coaches agree with me.

all you Nonu knockers out there eat your words!

Your kidding

Our second five 8 can't kick, catch or pass, oh joy.

Have you been watching his play! his passing and distribution has been very good for the last half of the Super 14. Kicking may be an issue but we don't need a 12 that can kick, not with carter and the halfback being able to.

Offensively he's possibly the best weapon we are going to have!

good one 2nd! on some occassions you'd be right! But mostly I support anything that is Wellington, except maybe netball! Footy, cricket, basketball and rugby most certainly.

Not sure if I'd call it an EPIC win for the Cantab boys, Wellington kinda folded and gave the game to you. We could and should have made it more difficult than we did.

Go Nonu Nonu....

Although I'm not sure being interviewed on TV3 sports about his All Black prospects wearing a North Queensland Cowboys rugby league jacket with Toyota all over it when he drives an NZ Rugby sponsored Ford was the smartest move.....

But he's not in the AB's based on his IQ though is he.....

Hope he has an awesome year, love the direct way he plays rugby (except some of his mindless thuggery!!).

Totally, love his fight and passion for the game! remove the stoopid stuff and he is the type of player we need more of!

he'll be like manu vatuvei in the centres, can't catch the ball but knows how do break tackles

nonu is a very unintelligent player with a limited attacking repetoire. though this season i must admit he has played better. i still cant stand him. think he's absolutely hopeless.

Nonu is a gambreaker! He should be in any All Black squad. Hes prone to the odd mistake but the attacking qualities he has can change any match. He'll became a big part of NZ rugby in the next few years

I have been saying this for a few years now (much to the annoyance of my rugby heed mates) - Nonu is a great NPC player, good Super 14 player and a poor international player.  At international level he cannot break tackles like he does against poorer players, and has nothing else to his game to continue to be a threat

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

there appears to be quite strong sentiments for and against Nonu, I guess time will tell......the coaches have faith in him, not that many of us have faith in the coaches - that in itself could be a new thread!

I have strong sentiments both ways, I'm a huge rugby fan as well as a football fan and it means everything to me that the All Blacks have the best team on the paddock.

I will be surprised if Nonu makes a huge impact in the ABs and holds down his spot. He has what I call "Sinclair Syndrome": He plays like he's world-class while playing at domestic/club level (i.e. in Nonu's case I mean S14), but falls to pieces when at international level and plays like a man off the street.

The other half of the "sentiment both ways" opinion I hold is that I'll be ecstatic if Nonu holds down the AB 12 jersey for a season and plays well. I will gladly eat my words.

He has just let the ABs down so many times it's hard to see it happening. He's still dynamite to bring off the bench though.

Nonu has a one dimensional game more suited for League. The big crash through the middle. When that option is taken away, he has little else to offer. He also tends to hold on to the ball too long instead of passing to players in a better position. Sorry, not a Nonu fan.

To his credit he's cut out the eye liner. Not a good look for an All Black.

The fans and even a few Hurricanes were getting quite frustrated with Nonu this last season. well, thats how it appeared at the Stadium. He was hanging onto the ball far too often and trying the big crash and try scoring move which was constantly turned back. he scored some tries but muffed a lot more and not just for him but for team mates in a better position.

I reckon I could mark up and take him. I didnt see one match wear he completely dominated his opposition this season.

you watch kaino and thompson run off his shoulder. thats where he will be dangerous, thompson is lightning and if he can get the ball in the line he will be hard to stop. nonu can do this.

And yet somehow O'Driscoll was left in Both Nonu and Smiths wake as they both scored tries! And he's upposedly the best centre in the Northern hemisphere......Where are the Nonu haters now? Not one stupid error, played awesomly, set up the Smith try and scored a blinder himself!

sorry, but nonu didn't even touch the ball in that phase of play. still had an excellent game showed great power to drag three irishmen over the line to score

Again against the English Nonu and Smith destroyed the frail english midfield........Nonuy is clearly the best midfield back we have at 12 at the moment, combines awesomly with smith.
