Is that for ODI's or T20's. Its pretty hideous. The old ones were way better.

Once again, Canterbury sets a new standard in ugliness. As if the new rugby jerseys weren't bad enough...
Permalink Permalink

Yea, but for every piece of ugliness its great to know that NZ's national bird is on a hell of a lot of opposition players (in rugby that is).

I quite like Canteburys new jerseys, well i like the Wellington one. Maybe not the Wallaby one so much. bopman2008-09-29 17:24:50

Haha, I'm a Wallabies supporter and yet I agree with ya

CCC aren't a bad company, they've done some great jerseys in the past (This probably being my fave) - but the new tempate they have for rugby & Pompey is terrible. And the aforementioned cricket tops.

It'll be interesting to see what they do to the Warriors

next year, so i would think all the warriors puma gear would be at a reduced cost for the rest of the year

It was announced a couple of months back... Puma will be retained as 'footwear' supplier.

The new kit will be out (surprise, surprise) in time for christmas... so I'd say we'll see it in the next month or two...

Who made the old Blackcaps kit?

If they got rid of that weird W then it would be ok, saying that then it reminds me of the silver ferns dress.

The tracksuit looks like it came straight out of a warehouse catalogue.

Also, why are Styris and Martin the models?

I hate to disagree with you all, but I like the enw kit!, way better than the blue/green one, and the beige and the old grey uniforms.

CCC=SH*TE! This is an example as to why they should not be aloud to produce teamware. Its as if their designer has an industrial design background and is fascinated by lots of sharp edges

They look like extras from a Tron sequel. You forgot your Frisbee's mate!

Apparently they have lights on them that light up when you need to drink...

i hate how countries change their test strip. scotlands old jersey was great. traditional looking and classic. this new one is rubbish with those sh*te lines all over it and the socks are terrible too.

australia is constantly changing too. the worst ever strip was the english one from the last world cup. horrendous.

everyone should just leave them traditional. All Blacks are good in that respect, not a lot you can do with a solid black strip (bar the collar but it looks better black anyway).

Spot on RF. Scotland's shirt should be dark blue, Ireland's should be green etc, etc.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

And test shirts shouldn't have sponsors on them, thats what I like about the RWC and All Blacks jerseys, no sponsors, it looks more traditional. I think Argentina are quite good in that regard.

But can you imagine what the All Blacks jersey would look like if we changed to Canterbury.

Like it used to look like when CCC did them?

Black. Except when we played Scotland. Then White and not ridiculously stupid looking Grey.

True, somehow the All Blacks seem to twist the designers style, like the Adidas three stripes down the sleeve. So it'd probably look just black again.

Yep, they have sponsors on the jersey, which I don't like. But the design has been kept much the same.

Like a proper rugby jersey, as opposed to looking like half a Batman costume?

Is that the kind of thing your comparing KP? Cause Batman might get away with wearing an All Black top.

ABs jerseys don't have any stripes on the sleeve. they do for junior teams but not the ABs. For the record the adidas version is much better than the old CCC ones with steinlager as a sponsor. white logo > red and green logo

That was my point, all other Adidas jerseys have the three stripes down the sleeve. Argentina does, as you said, all other NZ rep teams do, and the junior adidas rugby jerseys I've seen have as well.
