I see those clowns at Pharmac have decided to subsidise condoms to the extent that now through them you can have a choice of 18 different styles. Yet Pharmac can't be arsed to give women suffering from the early symptoms of beast cancer a subsidy on a drug, known to deal with it.

Are our priorities wrong? As a tax payer, I'd rather finance the breast cancer medicine. Instead of financing condoms. Easy solution for pregnancy, if you dont want to go there, keep ya legs closed and say no to the idiot who's too tight to go and buy his condoms.

there are always cheaper alternatives to condoms, such as crisp packets with a rubber band (can be used again as well).

If they want to reduce teen pregnancy, make Clearasil too expensive for kids to buy.  Everyone knows that acne is nature's contraceptive.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

a husband and wife are waiting at the bus stop with their nine children
a blind man joins them after a few minutes
when the bus arrives, they find it overloaded and
only the wife and the nine kids can get on,
so the husband and the blind man decide to walk.
after a while the husband starts to get irritated by the constant clicking
of the blind mans stick.he says to the blind man that noise is driving me nuts, can you put a rubber on the end,to which the blind man replies
if you had put a rubber on your stick we wouldn't be walking you t**ser. Lonegunmen2008-08-21 22:11:55

Worst decision EVER.

"Hey guys, we've got a cure for a major cancer! But we're not going to give it to you because some uptight fundies would rather people die than have sex outside of marriage"

[Edit - I was thinking about the HPV vaccine & cervical cancer, not Herceptin & breast cancer. My bad.]

You got that right Robb. My jokes above aside, i am very supportive towards women whom suffer or have suffer from this hideous disease - like every form of cancer. When a certain medication can help them so much why do we deprive them, yet Pharmac also spend a fortune on Condoms??

At least with Breast Cancer, if caught early enough a woman can beat it and live a productive healthy life. we should be giving women that chance!

I'm with you. Hopefully this will become an election issue because really, they got this DRAMATICALLY wrong.

And that is not a bad suggestion, I wonder if any politicians is prepared to pick it up and run with it?

National won't as they're all for user pays.

ACT is far more user-pays than National, so count them out

Pharmac is politically indepedent so the only thing parties can say is that they will provide more funding

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Oh Dairyflat? So you would rather Pharmac gives you a choice of 18 different types of condoms free and begrudges women of cancer surviving drugs? At least the female users on here know where you stand Dairyflat. Lonegunmen2008-08-25 01:02:53

Oh? You know them?

The representative they had on TV certainly came across as one. It is not their first poor decision. making asthma users pay for their Ventolins being another I can think of straight away.

this is one of the worst decisions of all time. i liked how the rep was saying this will save taxpayers money. yeah, all the taxpayers except the ones who get breast cancer and have to buy their own medicine.

Saying? Nothing at all. I merely put up a couple of links that might , after reading them, let some on this thread be better informed.
Informed discussion is always a good thing. Don't you think?
