I must be the last person in NZ not to have watched this.

I can confirm this is incorrect.

I got 4 seasons deep on BB, and bailed on watching the last. I find all the characters really unlikable, and they killed off the only one I tolerated so never watched season 5.

I liked rooted for the bad guys. Awesome series, one of my all time favourites. Only watched it this year and ended up watching the entirety of it in two weeks. Enjoy yourself, Gooner 4 Life, you'll fudgeing love it!

Don't waste your time with daredevil season 2. It's pants. Really let's down the first season. Cage looks interesting though.

Luke Cage had a 70s blaxploitation vibe, and those Marvel Netflix shows tend to be a bit grittier than the movies (Daredevil is great for that), both reasons why I liked it. Was a bit slow moving and the final face off a bit abrupt but otherwise would recommend.

Great comics. Was groundbreaking stuff from Marvel in 1973. Sweet Christmas!

Just started watching Spotless. I'm about half way through but a very good show so far, good drama, bit of gore, violence, funny bits (whether they are meant to be funny I'm not sure but I chuckle). Would recommend.

Both Cage, (Power Man), and Iron Fist were Marvel's attempt to cash in on the popular Blaxploitation and Kung Fu movies of the time.

Voltron: Legendary Defender (Netflix) is also worth a look if you were a fan back in the 80's. Rhys Darby's voice acting puts me off a little bit, but otherwise a pretty good show & storyline. Season 2 out soon. Would recommend.

Have introduced my wife to Housos and Swift & Shift... both *quality Australian *dramas.

*may not be actual quality or drama - but epic stereotypying and some world class swearing... recommended.

It was mostly good.  The Luke Cage actor wasn't completely convincing and seemed a bit dumb to me.

Finished watching the latest series of Sherlock and was actually a little disappointed.

Has anyone checked out Taboo with Tom Hardy?  I might give episode 1 a go tonight.

If you're in to cop shows, try tracking down Southland. Very good. Based in L.A. (not Invercargill). Took me an episode or two to get used to the camera style (similar to what you'd see on a reality show like Cops) but made for some excellent scenes.

I did end up watching season 2 of Daredevil and I actually quite enjoyed it.  Not as good as the first but watchable.  Iron Fist comes out on 17th March so that will be another one to binge watch.

Atlanta is on the list too, have heard only good things.

Recommend a show called The Book Group. About an American creative 'lass' who goes to Scotland and needs to meet people so tries to set up a book group. Strong football element in the show. I reckon watch the first 10 mins and you could be hooked.

Two of the people who turn up are Swedish bimbos:

"Claire, their husbands are professional football players"
"Oh right. Soccer? You can make money from that?"

Then two of the guys who turn up are definitely not Book Group types:

Kenny: "I was blown away by it, I couldn't put it down"
Claire: "Thing is Kenny, it would be good to hear why you couldn't put it down"
Kenny: "Because it was such a bloody brilliant book"

Then Claire asks Rab what he thinks on the book:

"I agree wi' Kenny"

So it's just really awkward... And there's various alternative motives for people being there, and good drama of the characters etc...

Season 1 is fantastic. Season 2 is meh for me.

Been getting into a lot of mafia/organised crime shows after watching Narcos.

Ozark is cool. Am often a fan of Jason Bateman. It's the new Breaking Bad that show. I think a new series coming soon eh.

Currently watching S2 of Ozark - very nice TV show.  I actually never loved Jason Bateman in comedies - always found him a bit 'unfunny' to be honest...but I'm loving him in this drama.  He has that calm air about him while the wheels are falling over right left and center...

Other awesome TV shows on Netflix:

- The Inbetweeners

- Man down

- Mars

- Vikings

- OITNB

- House of Cards

- Everything sucks

- The end of the F****g world

And if you are watching it. Watch right to the end of each episode, as they do a little behind the scenes thing about something from each episode with the director/actors.

If you haven't seen The Spy on Netflix - do yourself a favor and watch it now!
Sacha Baron Cohen's first dramatic performance - to me it's a 5-star show!

Love everything about it, it's got drama, tension, action, politics, great photography...it's only 6 episodes long too, and you'll devour it, I know I did!

Peaky blinders is another awesome TV show.

Totally different, but I've recently enjoyed Love, Death + Robots - a collection of short animated films on netflix. Some episodes are better than others but the quality is overall good and the stand out ones are very very good. Beware a bit of violence and nudity so don't watch with little ones

Only 6 episodes.
