Quality TV Shows

I thought that too. Would be awesome if it had Michael Jordan or something. I've just finished reading The Walking Dead comics too from #1 right up to the current #95 (it took about 2 weeks of on and off reading) and the TV series only looks to get better. Good thing they're slightly different in story line too, it keeps the TV version interesting, I hate knowing exactly what's going to happen next.

It's such a shame that quality television programs like this and that biker one on the other channel at the same time are several weeks if not months behind America. It makes it quite hard to talk on forums and stuff about it when everything you come across gives the plot away.

Re: Walking Dead. I'd like to see a celebrity cameo either as a walker or a survivor and no, not Bill Murray.

Would seem pretty silly since they are in some hicktown.

I don't reckon it would be silly.  Actors can pretend they are zombie hicks.

True but they are on their way to a major city sometime in the next few seasons. With all the travelling it wouldn't be too unrealistic.

Finished watching the entire Battlestar Galactica tv series (modern version). Very good. Confusing &/or weird at times but thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm 1/2 way through the last season now. Agree on all counts.

Saw another episode earlier tonight. It's a very good series with eye witness accounts. I think the final is on next week.

And while I'm at it there is a petition to ask that TVNZ 7 not be axed in June.

It's a very good channel but probably the same ratings as National Radio (not enough boobies and Grace Park) - quite informative but not glitzy.

Ummm.... yes! I dream of finding a starship filled with sixes and eights. I don't get the uproar over Katee Sackhoff though. She doesn't really do it for me.

I just finished season 3 of Fringe, it's very, very good. One of the best modern sci-fi programs on at the moment. If you've never seen it, I reccomend starting at the start of season one and watching right through, it just keeps getting better and better.

Also, season 2 of Sherlock is starting on TV One next Friday I think. This is another one that's well worth watching, it's a lot of fun.

I am loving NZ Masterchef, so will not be coming back into this thread until the season is finished (to prevent spoilers).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Yep, I've watched that too. You have to start from the beginning though, otherwise it will make no sense at all.
Others I'm currently watching - Breaking Bad season 3, Chuck season 3 (for a bit of brain-off entertainment). Amazon is my friend. hlmphil2012-04-27 09:49:34

I can highly reccomend the second season of Sherlock, which is starting on Friday night on TVOne. The first episode is one of the best pieces of TV I have seen in a long, long time.

Coincidentally, I met Martin Freeman who plays John Watson at the Rhys Darby gig on Saturday night. Only had my phone with me, which apparently doesn't like taking photo's in dark places...

Ancient Aliens on the History channel. So stupid its laugh out loud funny.

They showed that on TV2 over the weekend.  Apparently along time ago there were three human civilisations that were merged (Aztec, Ancient Egyptian and one other). Humans were selected for sacrifice which they went willingly to a temple built by the aliens (called "predators") who would visit every 100 years as a rite of pasage to battle some other aliens (called "aliens") who used the human sacrifices to spawn more "aliens".

Fascinating.

I too had been looking forward to the return of Sherlock, and now that it is back i am happy and all is right in the world.

Also managed to acquire Space: Above and Beyond full series, still really enjoy it although the sfx is a little pants at times. Does anyone else remember it? only lasted for a season in the mid 90's.

And now Jung Ryeo-won.  Saw her in a Korean rom-com film "Never Ending Story 2012" (long haul flight movies) - a good sentimental film.
