She was certainly different. Shame she couldn't turn her life around and get off the drugs. What is it about singers dying at the age of 27.
Others who died age 27:

Brian Jones (founding member of Rolling Stones)
Jimi Hendrix
Janis Joplin
Jim Morrison
Kurt Cobain

Rock is dead or so it's said
And now it's all a part of history
Lost the thread and lost its head
Well, I dunno, it seems OK to me
Jim Morrison, Brian Jones
Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix

What's the difference between the Norwegian serial killer and the death of Amy Winehouse?
The serial killer destroyed the lives of 92 people,
Amy Winehouse destroyed the lives of 92 drug dealers.

Sources say police have estimated Amy Winehouse's ashes at a street value of 500,000.

Three for me, and two for them.

Graeme Moody. Wellington rugby commentator. Personally I think he was the best out of the current stock. Not only did he do rugby but Commonwealth (not sure about Olympic) Games. He was so good that his commentary of the 2000 NPC final, Wellington (winners) vs Canterbury, was made into a CD. I think he had kind words for the Nix in his morning sports news. He'll sorely missed.Wongo2011-08-25 07:49:21

RIP Alan Hubbard... I find this kind of a shame as would have preferred to have seen a  trial and now the full truth might never come out and his believers will always think it was all just a mistake not deliberate fraud

RIP Andy Whitfield - star of Sparcaus at only 39. is scary to think that someone in such amazing shape can be so quickly taken down. Is also sad as it came just as his career was peaking and dam he was a hunk and a half stealthkiwi2011-09-12 13:30:47

David Croft best remembered for co-writing Dad's Army, but also did It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Hi-Di-Hi and worked on Are You Being Served? and Allo Allo.

Dad's Army is truly epic, I loved Corporal Jones as a kid and as I grew up liked him less and focused on the other characters like the relationship between Mannering and Wilson. It had something for all ages.

That's the captured German sailors episode right?

also this one:

Fiona: People are talking!
Mainwaring: People always talk, who cares about that?
Fiona: But there's your wife!
Mainwaring: Nobody will talk to her! She hasn't been out of the house since Munich!

Jimmy Savile is dead. Very strange man but did raise 40 million for various charities and was very polite when I met him once when he was running the Great North Run.
