Anyone else on here a student at vic and annoyed at the treatment of students. We pay thousands in fees and they fail to provide the services they should. For example sitting in the library today typing my assignment and none of the power points on the floor are working. Pretty disapointing considering its meant to be a place for students to study.

Yeah, it can be a real mess and it wont get better given the government cut-backs on tertiary education.

When Students are worth funding they will receive funding!

The NZ Government should be pumping rediculous amounts of cash into sport! Students can study online if they so desire!!!

Its actually supposed to read "It Makes you Thick" but the student who typed it out didnt do a spell check and blamed lack of electricity in the Uni Library for not being able to complete the task properly!

Vic is so sh*te, the only thing sh*ter than the institution is our student association

Our student association is awesome (STUDIO - I'm at architecture school). But yes VUWSA is lame. We have nothing to do with them anyway, and they virtually ignore us, unless they were the Christians last year who only came down as they wanted votes.

And yes, Vic Uni is pretty sh*te. We have atrociously organised courses, and don't even get me started on facilities...or the lack of.

Yeah its pretty much the same at law school, we dont have much to do with VUWSA, but Salient provides an insight into the sh*t

Salient has improved a hell of a lot for trimester 2 - by bringing back Michael Oliver's sports columns and by no longer having that Big City Life "I hate Wellington" column.

Now all it needs to do is bring in more of Robbie Nielson's comics at the expense of that Henry Ball crap.

(I still read it even though I'm at Massey now - good for a laugh haha)

Yeah I did the same with Critic, the Otago magazine (I did the first degree at Otago). It was a favourite Monday lecture past-time. One of my flatmates who does med, used to pick them up for us from the hospital as the entire flat used to be old Otago students. Unfortunately she hasn't been based there for a while, so I haven't really read any student publications for ages. Not that I have time, being stuck at the red prison, actually doing work/way too much work (she says as she is procrastinating on yellowfever.co.nz).Carol2008-08-15 00:11:03

Mate, ITS THE OPPOSITE! Massey is a joke, they can't even get departments talking to each other and they just make life a pain for students! Because the right hand wouldn't talk to the left I have ended up having to delay graduation by 6 months! But since i've started my next batch of studies at Vic they've been mint. Way better/bigger campus with more on site stuff!!!
