Thought I'd do a revival as I believe some gems need mentioning, those gems being Nalin and Kane.

Not really sure whats going on in this video, but they seem to be having a good time.

The orignal song and still the best imo.

Lotsa nostalgia for me with these songs.Azevo2011-03-02 16:45:18

I think Twisted is hard wired to make me dance... I was extremely twisted the first time i heard it and was around 4am at the old Paradiso Bar and started slowly then out came a 6.3 drag queen dressed as an Alien frm Predator and wearing 15cm platform boots lip synching to it - then boom the gash grinders started up and man it was crazy intense. It's prob my generation's number one party anthem... or at least for those of us who rode the E Train

we might have retained the Nix but sucky Akld is getting all the best gigs at the mo...   Mylo  playing 28th sept - just in time for rugby world cup accom price hiking - not to mention if they sold out 4x Roger Waters The Wall in minutes then you'd think they'd realise other cities in NZ wd also sell out

Hey Sleeper... nice to only a few of us tho lol

I like the Hear you breathing track

my new fave kiwi band who i've already seen about 6 times this year and who are on the fast track to great heights like Fat Freddys and Shapeshifter   The Nudge

A clip that was made in conjunction with the great kiwi music show Making Tracks where an overseas group was given an iconic NZ music track to remake their way
Please Don't cry

Just a cheesy dance track that gets in my head and also makes me laugh... groovy fashion too  Party Rock

lol you wdn't believe how crap I am at doing that shuffling move - have scared my pets many a time trying to get it working. Sometimes I think I most resemble this in dance style
but least I don't look like these (love this track tho)

Id be very surprised if a thread with such music was popular :) Anyway Im sure your efforts (links) in this thread didnt go to waste.

This music so cool that I didn't want it to stop. Let's do the Nudge :)

Judging by the growing numbers of views this thread has some interest :) Talking about Byetone I forgot to make mention of another sound artist from the experimental music label Raster-Noton:

Alva Noto (aka Carsten Nicolai) - Uni Acronym.

Vatican Shadow (the project of Dominick Fernow) has produced a notable album "Kneel Before Religious Icons" - Shooter In The Same Uniform As The Soldiers and God Representative On Earth

I think it's time to dust off this almost forgotten topic and introduce something interesting.

An excellent hypnobeat track performed by German DJ Helena Hauff  "c45p"

Psychedelic rock band Moon Duo has released the third full-length album, but I still get kicks from their previous works such as "Sleepwalker" or "Flowers"

and finally Silent Servant  "Speed and Violence"

A few words about sound art-project by British photographer and professor of video art Phil Collins. He set up a free, unlimited phone line in Cologne train station to be used on condition that the conversations were recorded and anonymized for later use in his work. Recorded conversations were reworked by the team of musicians such as Demdike Stare "Relativity", Cologne Tape "Flutes by Phil Collins" and Heroin In Tahiti "Alo".
This is my fav from the latest releases:
Grebenstein & Seefried - "Wufferfraction"
Following up upon the minimal wave theme started in the preceding post there is a nice track from Michel Amato - "Deranged"

Something else in addition:
Joachim Spieth - "Dispersion"
Marie Davidson - "Excès de vitesse"
Craig Armstrong & Scott Fraser - "Rosa Morta" and Turkish synth band Jakuzi - "Belki de sen haklisin"

A pair of cool tracks from the first solo album of Hispanic sound artist Silvia Jimenes Alvarez known as JASSS - "Weightless" and "Oral Сouture"

So what is kickin' from the new? There is something worth listening to.
Phase Fatale - "Binding by Oath"

Silent Servant productively cooperated with Rrose, compiling under the sign of "Air Texture VII" unreleased exclusive electronics, ranging from Octo Octa, Luke Slater and other well-known names to June and An-i with a classy "Afterlife"; as well as with the Mannequin Records label honcho Alessandro Adriani - "Fuoco".

The unfading sub pop classic: Stereolab - "Lo Boob Oscillator"
Tokyoite Ena made debut on the Different Circles sound label - "20 Division"

The rockers Moon Duo continue their trips into the depth of inner space finding in the process more and more existential creatures.

Add some more rock to our extemporaneous playlist. The Icelandic multi-instrumentalists Hugar who play music at the interface of neo-classic and post rock: "Frost", "Rok" and "Volt".

High quality trip-hop: Dijit - "Natfo"
The party I would like to attend :) "Puis in Tacet" by Pantha du Prince.

Let's pull the best topic out of the swamp of this section.
I'm starting again with Phase Fatale, all the more there is a reason in the form of good techno: "No Esperes Más", "Tausend Heilige" and "Plastic Motion"

I try to cover different styles. This time my attention was drawn to the fusion of experimental rock and electronics:
The Limiñanas & Laurent Garnier - "Saul"
Another example of successful collaboration:
Rebolledo & Roman Flügel - "Star Stuff"

I was digging through the archive and came across a clearly underestimated thing:
Vatican Shadow - "Enter Paradise"
If anyone's interested, this is one of the best ambient albums I've heard so far:
Thomas Köner - "Aubrite"

I decided not to pass by the new record of the Japanese band Anoice. The sharp songs will be appreciated by fans of neo-classical: "The Promised Day"

Symphonic Metal. I was 60 When I was first introduced to it via Facelessbook. Imperial Age. I've got several of their CD's. They are now based in England after a quick stint in Turkey after leaving Russia after the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.

Quite an interesting style of music.
