Tell me exactly how Murray is arrogant.

The way he jumps around screaming and acting like a brat after certain points or sets. The way he flexes his biceps when he wins. The way Murraymania goes to his head. He has a disgraceful attitude. Then again he is Scottish.

 Brilliant, Buffy!

Agree with your first comment too, of course adding Nadal in there. However, apart from the Republic, I do hope the Welsh/ Northern Irish lose- as well as obviously the English and Scottish.

Ok, he is flamboyant on the court. Unfortunately, he seems to have toned it down a bit. Do you support any Football players that jump around or scream?!?? Not sure what acting like a brat entails. He doesn't break as many rackets as Federer does anyway!

I haven't seen much to show Murraymania going to his head. He's acted pretty similar whether the media have hated him or liked him.

Football isn't a gentlemanly sport, Tennis is. There is the difference.

Three for me, and two for them.

Pfft. What a load of rubbish. How many top players do you actually see acting like gentleman?? What are you, some high-class bearded guy with a pipe who plays croquet before going and playing the grand piano?!

You can be a good sport like Murray, without needing to be a 'gentleman'. Cricket is supposed to be a gentlemanly sport as well isn't it. They still jump around.

I do like playing the piano tbf. I do enjoy obscure and modern art. Is that a problem with you?

Haha. No. But Tennis is rather different you see. So maybe you should turn off all the silly arrogant people who celebrate doing well against other top professionals who they respect so much. Stick to the obscure art and piano whilst mourning over the gentlemanly game that you have lost. Rather than bringing down people who sometimes show their natural passion in a way / place you don't like.

Murray is definatly arrogant. In his interviews for example he just sits there acting like he is too big to be there and he seems to think he is better than he actually is. It is easy to understand why he is one of the most disliked players on tour.

Far from the truth. He's pretty laidback (maybe you regard that as arrogance). And you must realise how boring those interviews are. You just don't like the media hype and are making up rubbish.

On another note. Was cool watching the Bryan Brothers lose yesterday (not that I have anything against them, but upsets are fun).

How many kiwi's will we have in the draw come Aussie open time?

I know Dan King-Turner is in qualifying today,  i have no idea what the story is with Sacha and Marina?

Marina will probably be the only one in the main draw. She is using her protected ranking (from before her injury) to get straight in.

King-Turner has no hope. (sorry).

Sacha could be an outside chance. Some good results in the last few months of last year. Some good wins against players in the top 150, but it'll be a lot tougher for her to qualify for this I would think.

Being laidback/not caring/thinking you are too good is arrogance too me. Look at other players, they make the effort regardless of how "boring" the interviews are. He has no personality, no charisma and is just as bad on the court as shown by Buffon's description.

Yea, Laura Robson. Didn't actually see it. 15 years old I'm pretty sure. Her and Murray had good banter going on in their interviews. She must've thought she'd won the tournament after winning in the final in her singles vs Spain - then Murray goes and bloomin' loses!

Haha, I read one article during the tournament where they called her English and Murray British!!!

Dan King-Turner made it through the first round of qualifying winning, 6-4,6-4. Now playing Kevin Kim so should lose in straights.

Australian draw is up, will post it soon. Henin is in the same quarter with Dementieva and Clijsters so will be very tough for her.

Tsonga managed to avoid the big two, which is good. Monfils with Nadal in his lot, not so good.

Dan King-Turner managed to beat Kevin Kim! 6-4, 6-3 which is a huge upset.

Erakovic draws Na Li who is the 16th seed. Will be close but I think Erakovic will make it in 3 as Na Li is very out of form these past two weeks.

Erakovic must be tomorrow. Times for all of tomorrows games aren't up on the website yet, but she ain't on today.

Good start for Scottish tennis on Day 1. Murray and Baltacha winning. Andy looking tremendous. Against lower ranked opponent of course, but still some simply stunning play.

Maria Kirilenko won. Sharapova goes home, along with her fake personality and her grunting. melbourne will be quiet for 2 weeks now (until another grunter comes along I guess

Definately. Should win next one easy too. Third round he has Melzer, who won first two sets against Murray a couple of years ago before losing. If you're not playing top tennis in these things you can easily go down to a lower ranked opponent. That's why Federer's record is so amazing.

Ugh. How sickening. Federer playing horrendous tennis. Gets lucky on a net court and then Andreev goes to pieces.
