Smithy made smoe good points in his "Bracewell has to be worried" rant! and I agree, if I was the coach I'd be very concerned with the performances thus far - especially considering he is better at the one day game (apparently). Also agree with the extra coaches comments - let the players decide, and pay for the help. Drop the other 5/6 coaching staff, let the COACH do the work and if the players need help with batting let them call in their own consultants etc.

and yet we have John Wright who did wonders with the Indian team sitting around in some stupid performance role doing sod all. Give Wrighty a chance.....nah, that would be too logical wouldn't it.

there doesn't seem to be a lot of logic, brains or understanding of the game from the top ppl in nz cricket at the moment. Pity cos theres some awesome ex players involved!

I was flicking through the channels the other day and found the Beach Cricket comp, with all the oldis from Eng, Aus and NZ playing and was amazed at how good Dion Nash still was.

He could get a game now, no joke.

errr Nash was prety average in his day.  i remember he was bowling the last ball of an innings against South Africa. lance Klusenar needed 4 runs to win the game. Nash went and bowled a full toss and Lance duely put it over long off for a half dozen. Wholly cow as MArtin Crowe would say

He's improved. He was making this crappy beach cricket ball talk.

Did you watch the game?

No one else could do anything with it-

Nash is a God, bow down to him, blasphemer!

I've only seem highlights of it. He was the only one young enough to be able to get his shoulder in a full rotation.

During one of the cricket test again the bangies, simion doull and rigger were ripping in Nash and Paddle for going in the tournament.  They were saying it was unacceptable for them to be playing when they are national selectiors and there was a cricket test, and 3 provincial games.  It was when we were having trouble on deciding on our test openers and there they were working on their tan on the gold coast.  Couldn't agree more.

yeah, it seems as though Nash, Paddles and the other selector have lost interest in their own team. Grates me that they came out saying our players should not be going overseas for the money and what are they off doing??? Bech cricket - FFS!

I think its time for a clean out at the top!!!

Woeful would describe that performance and certainly not a confidence builder for the new young players.

Smiths comments were 100% spot on! Bracewell should go back to undertaking.

Yeah, I'm tempted to wear my Retro Ricky tomorrow. It'd just feel wrong going to the Ring of Fire without having it on...

Nope, my flag would have had "Wellington Phoenix & QPR rule the World" on it! Or "Bracewell go back to Undertaking" - including a samsung logo for the banner competition.

Weird game where the bowlers saved the day for NZ. But one swallow doesn't make a summer, even if it does make a man happy!

Well another sh*te Eden Park performance, what else is new? Highlight was talking to the drunk Fulham fan who claimed Cesc was "the greatest player he's ever seen" during the rain break. Lowlight was getting abused by the Spurs fan on the train on the way back. I think i made his day when he held up 5 fingers on one hand and 1 on the other whilst saying "5-1" again and again, probably made his year actually.

Three for me, and two for them.
