Greenpeace use bio-diesel (more sustainable less impact) and sailing boats.

Unless their boats are made of 100% Recycled paper and Carbon neutral to boot, I fail to see how they can ride their high horse into situations like this unless they put their money where their mouth is!
 
Last time I checked rubber was sourced from trees, steel production requires massive mining operations and fibreglass is not a natural sustainable product either!

Here here! Not to mention the petroleum that goes into the plastics housing the equipment,electronics & fittings on the ships/boats. I think Greenpeace should swim out there naked. Can't use neoprene wetsuits.

What fuel powers the outboards on their inflatables? Probably 2-stroke fuel (oil/petrol mixture). Mind you, you can get 4-stroke (straight petrol) outboards now.

May I just point out please people that I have no problem with the folks associated with the Greenpeace organisation excersizing their right to protest. What I do have a problem with is the lack of thought and the hypocracy that usually comes with their protests.

Ridiculous that this was done under urgency, and is just another example of this government's crazy abuse of urgency to get potentially unpopular bills through with limited public debate.

As for the bill, I am opposed to any termination of internet access, and am concerned at the level of proof that will be required from rights holders, but not opposed to the concept of attempting to protect rights holders. aitkenmike2011-04-14 10:58:09

I could not agree with you more on this. If you look at the back of the bread bag, sandwhich bread is 21 slices + 2 crusts and toast is 17 slices + 2 crusts. I can't vouch for 100% of the brands out there doing this obviously but it does seem that they all do it. Bloody annoying when you're on the last loaf when this happens and you live 10km from the nearest shop.

There will be more people watching Hull v Crystal Palace on Saturday than will watch the RWC.
