Having it raining on Halloween night and stocking up for kids meant to be knocking on the door. Oh well, looks like the kids at home get it at Christmas.

Anyone else hate Halloween? Stupid American ritual that only the retailers and kids want to bring in.

Funny thing is - they're probably going to be *ripping my lung out (the remainder of it anyway). Clearly I'm not dealing with the right persons.

And yes, I get all that FT and it's not their fault but jeezus arse it's frustrating getting the run around because people can't/don't do what they say they're going to do (in this case it was actually a registrar that stuffed up - but admin person gave me the unnecessary attitude, so of course that pissed me off further).

*hopefully not ACTUALLY ripping.

Hmm sorry to hear that you are going through some health issues. Registrars are doctors that been out of training for around 3 years and fully employed. They are just beginning  to specialize in their chosen area. They can "stuff up", but it's rarely serious stuff up as they are closely supervised and have a team of nurses, pharmacists, etc also keeping an eye on things.

The admin needs to pull his/her head in. You can't have an attitude in that job. Just remember if you ain't happy with the service you get there is a clear complaints procedure that is taken very seriously by hospitals.

Cheers FT, laughed my tits off when you said that - of all the sayings you could've chosen! Epic lolz!

Not a major stuff up really - just timeframes... he was covering for a specialist I saw a couple of times post an MRI and a referral (from him) wasn't forwarded until I followed up myself two months later (when i got the attitude from the admin person when she was giving me excuses I really couldn't have cared less about).

In hindsight; probably just as well or I may have missed the Fever Bus to the Bay, and that really woulda pissed me off!!!

Living in a flat with sky sports but never actually watching any sport (apart from the odd All Blacks game). FML

The flatmates (three girls two guys) don't like cricket/football/league/any other decent sport but said that sky sport is a necessity when I moved in. Yet they all sit around the TV playing on their phones/tablets with The Mummy Returns on in the background...I'm doing back flips in my seat as I watch Ross Taylor hit three sixes in a row on his way to 100 on cricinfo live updates.

So in addition to the not watching sky thing, your flatmates also piss you off?

Although the Mummy Returns is pretty average.

Not really. One of the girls is annoying but I'm a pretty tolerant guy. I just can't see the logic in having sky sports if you aren't going to watch any sport - and what is on isn't really being watched. That's what pisses me off. Guess I'm used to living with guys who watch sport 95% of the time as well though.

Move the Sky decoder to your bedroom, get your own TV and watch it. Let your flatmates put up with freeview on the other TV.

Haha you would like to think that would work but seems to be a majority vote situation - think the solution is to find a better flat.

Frankie you reminded me of that old Joke: How many Surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb? The Fish!

Your answer was so far out there, it reminded of that joke.

How would you deal with kids in costumes knocking on your door asking for food?

These skinny little roast busters. How the fuck they haven't been beaten to within an inch of their lives and thrown on life support is beyond me.

Agree but I think they are actually in hiding. Pretty sure there are a few dads out there they should be scared of. If that was my daughter I hate to think what I would do and if that was my son I would beat the girls' dads to it.

What I can't understand is some of the girls are sticking up for them and endorsing said activities?

I'd guess they were the consenting lot. There would also be some that didn't consent, by some of the comments they made on their page, in videos, and by some girls who have come forward with complaints of rape.

I hope that victims whom didn't want to take part do indeed lay complaints. I always thought under NZ law that sex for under 16 year olds was illegal anyway. I stand to be corrected. I believe any adult over 16 that has sex with a minor (under 16) could be treated as a sex offender/paedophile.

Yes but bragging about having sex isn't illegal. That's what people don't seem to get. Hence the need for a complaint and evidence. Its a pretty rough system on victims, but also kind of necessary in some ways too.
