Would make great marketing if you were a roofer based in Winton.

I had a single bogey at my desk and just flicked it on the floor. Oh, are you talking about golf?

Not all news should be depressing dairyflat.

People actually do care about the oscars, even if you don't. And it's a hugely massive achievement to win 3 times.

NZ BUS.  Twice this week I have got off the train expecting a bus to be there, only to find the bus has left early.

Second angry email just sent.  Will see what kind of response I get.

found myself getting pissed off with one of the guys that organises the parking at the stadium the other night. After taking me $30 told where I could park ( which appeared to be on the mezzanine floor).................It was never going to happen

Lobby groups/political parties pushing their agendas at fairs/festivals, in this case the Newtown Festival.  As I see it, these events should be family orientated & non-political.  I don't mind worthwhile charities (present were SPCA & Breast Cancer awareness).  The lobby groups/political parties present were Sea Shepherd, Green Party (No Asset Sales), No Oil Drilling, No Fly Over & the Labour Party.

When you say 'pushing" do you mean that they had a stall and you could wander over to it? Or?

I treat those groups with the same disdain as Wongo.  But meh, you get the nutters at the fairs all the time.  Just walk on by to the whale burger stall and wipe off the bloody stains with a napkin made from tropical rainforests.

Yes, they were stalls & you can wander over to them, which I didn't.  Doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum they're on, I personally think they shouldn't be allowed into such events.

Friend's son parked his car, new to him, at the side of the road on Saturday night. When he got back it had been hit by another and ruined. After dealing with Police he decided to walk home.  On the way home he got attacked by a group who left him unconscious minus his wallet and  mobile.

He was concussed but is OK.

Thats why I went contact lens years ago, I'd always end up destroying my glasses. These days if you break a lens its not big deal. Mind you years ago I broke a gas permable in my eye and cut my eyeball. Had to spend a month with a patch on, lots of YoHoHo comments. It hurt. the pain not pirate gags.

Looks like they've been dragged across something abrasive.

indeed the worst part was my dad taking me to the gp and her actually letting out a small scream and going "Oh my god you've got a massive hole in your eye!" to my credit I replied "Is that serious Doc?' as nonchalantly as possible and then she realized it was 3/4's of the lens still stuck in my eye. Obviously alcohol was involved. There's a pattern emerging here...

Video clips embedded into online newspapers that suddenly start after the page has opened scaring the bejeezus out of you, cuse, you left the speakers on and and you're a bit fragile after a nightshift.

The b*stards are always 3/4 of the way down the page so you have no idea they are there until you get some ear-shattering nonsense that you'd never watch anyway.
