Winning a vital game of football 4-0 and the anticipation that surrounds another result we desperately need to go our way to potentially win the league if we win next week and get a better goal difference than one of the teams in the other game today. But only if they won today. ie Football.

edit - Tables have been updated and now look like this (thanks to Chch Utd beating Wiamak, the other result we desperately needed!)

   Team      P  W  D  L  F  A  D  Pts
1)Waimak  12 8  2  2 34 19 15 26
2)Halswell 11 7  2  2 26 12 14 23
3)United    11 7  2  2 22 12 10 23
4)Too far off the pace, who cares.

I'm Halswell, Waimak has the bye next week in the final round. It all hinges on results next weekend. This is why football is the best sport in the world, and this is why I love it.

P.S. Go the 'Saders!

he's just continuing on his attempt to come across as the nix' caped crusader, he really wants the nix fan vote. More subtle than usual though, i'll give him that

Fuck this stupid game

If he wants the nix vote, it seems to be backfiring (unless Terry has to give up the license and he comes through with a saviour saying "I told you so" - which may be what he is aiming for,if anything.)

Here is a James Burke "connections" moment:

From the "shooting stars" poll I found on you tube the club style song part of the show with a brief flash of Paul Shane from Hi Dee Hi.

In the "Things that pisses youse off" fred I posted an old joke from Dave Allen - when I googled the man I found out that he was a Redcoat at Butlins Holiday Camps (http://www.televisionheaven.co.uk/daveallen.htm) which were the inspiration for Hi Dee Hi and the Yellowcoats.

Brilliant! (And I also reckon the Paul Whitehouse Fast Show character - Brilliant Kid - is an oblique p!sstake of James Burkes Connections (even tho Wiki thinks it might be Alexei Sayles Stuff).

having the next 3 days to do nothing but watch the last few days of what has been an interesting tour - esp as looks like the weather is packing up both here and in France & watching poor men in lycra cycle through the steep snowline will seem extra cool if done wrapped up all warm & toasty

Watching Les Dawson on you tube - classic, what a funny man.

"I saw six men kicking and punching the mother-in-law. My neighbour said, Arent you going to help? I said, No, six should be enough.

That bored me so quickly. Did they ever end up leaving the broken down ship? They hadn't after about 8 episodes.
