What would we get instead of a C130's in the airforce, I know some of you military geeks are out there wanting to tell me!

A-10's would be awesome to see in the air force, though I heard the air force were getting some of Australia's old Hornets (maybe the super hornets eventually?) as they're getting some F-35's to replace them.. That'd probably be a long term acquisition though.

Ooooooh! F35 Raptors...new generation fighters...nice. Hornets are good multi-role aircrafts to have, can be fitted with anti-ship missiles to guard the coastline. Keith Locke WILL be VERY pleased. When did you hear about purchasing combat planes? Surely not in this economic climate. Be nice though.

Well, a few buddies in the air force and army have heard a few things from their superiors being thrown around, and I believe that it is being 'planned' at the moment. I would think it will be a few years down the track, may hear something about it soon though eh?
As for you Junior, you're on to a winner, maybe you should look at getting a contract to build these for the air force.
