Have been in more Grannies than Wayne Rooney over the past few years!

Watching the Burbs last night which I've seen a million times but I never noticed this before.

One scene Tom Hanks is talking and in the background Carrie Fisher in a white dressing gown is fiddling with the washing machine a la Princess Leia programming R2 D2 in Star Wars - very funny!

Hmmm will have to watch for that. A lot of films have those in jokes in them. The expendables are loaded with them, all three flicks. So too is the last action hero.

My old Cat Jonah.

Since the kidney medicine has kicked in he is now back to being the cat version of Cary Grant in the early 70's.  Handsome, English, Clever and Urbane - just unreal.

Amazing!

yes he is English I bought him over. Very well traveled cat  -  i could tell you tales.

Checked into a hotel yesterday (ChCh) and it had the theme from Twin Peaks playing.

Need to find some cherry pie now.

Major power outage and all that lady on the news could complain about was not finding a latte and her electric garage door wouldn't open. I guess priorities need reassessing.

Garage door now opens. Still some ice in the ice drawer. TV working. Whew! Saved! Now off to the boozer.

Had to drive 2 miles to Grafton to get a flat white takeaway. Cold water instant just doesn't do it for me first thing.

Boil water on the BBQ?

...or, alternatively, on the outdoor gas grill. The chances of an ACTUAL BBQ in that part of Auckland are low.

No gas grill. No actual BBQ. If I'd thought I could have maybe used some of the radiator water -
