You know that Princess Di was disappointed with Prince Charles? She thought every ruler had 12 inches.

Tada boosh!

This offseason there is an All Whites game at home, a World Cup at reasonable-ish times and some Premier League action on our doorstep.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

People such as Kelly and her husban whom gave me approx 15 cards to almost complete my boys Countdown set. We were late starters and although it closes today, we only need three cards to go. Those 15 cards cost me two cards in return. Very nice people whom I wish good fortune to. I note on trade me, some are trying to profit big time off them.

So thank you Kelly and your husband. Micki rsally appeeciates it.

Being bought (and served) a Guiness by Lucy Lawless (at the annual "Bloomsday" gig last night at the Thirsty Dog, K Rd, just before she read Molly Bloom's soliliquy from final chap of 'Ulysses'). I was only one of many as she did same for all present. Top gal. Warrior princess.

To further expand on what is considered the best MB thread ever on a football website here's confirmation it did exist. I got onto it after about page two when the story broke loose. Shit, 12 years ago and such a classic. Us QPR fans were onto it in a flash. It made for great reading.

The longest thread ever?
I'm pretty new to this board and have seen some long threads, but take a look at this. Could the Boro ever beat this?

The infamous 'Have you anything interesting....' thread had reached over 1,800 when it fell off the board, but I believe Port Vale had a thread that got in to the 2,000 range.

How long did that bigwatfordlove thread go on for? The one started by this guy's (ex)girlfriend? Didn't they start selling mugs and t-shirts of it as well? Are they still available? Is the thread still lurking somewhere? Blimey. Didn't it get over 5,000 replies?

Football message board hepatitis claim goes international

A Watford FC message board is causing an internet sensation thanks to a fan claiming her boyfriend gave her hepatitis.

The poster, who calls herself Bimbo83 and claims to be 19, says 'Brian' infected her after cheating on a holiday to Greece.

She says she wants to vent her anger on Rivals.net because he is a regular on it.

He has posted a message denying her claims. It's unclear if the argument is legitimate or a hoax.

Hundreds of messages have flooded in from as far afield as Dallas, Sydney and Barcelona, as well as from Watford fans and supporters of other British clubs.

In her original posting, Bimbo83 said: "I would like to tell you lot about Brian the Watford fan. I have been going out with him for three years and he has been cheating on me and I found out last week that he has given me hepatitis after his holiday in Greece. I know he spends a lot of time on here. Some of you will know him."

Brian's response says: "Sarah you are just a bitter and twisted little bit** with nothing better to do than slag me off on here. Have you ever thought that it might have been you I caught hepatitis from - not the other way around? Seems you did sleep your way round the whole of town while I was away (and don't try to deny it because I know you did)."

One posting offers to beat Brian up at half-time if Bimbo83 streaks at the club's home game against Millwall. It adds, "Not binding if you're a minger. Or have orange hair". Other messages include ideas for chants about the argument.

One contributor says: "I hope it's true and not a scam. I would feel violated if it was a fabrication. I'm really looking forward to the Watford game now, but I'm reluctant to bring the kids as I don't want to field 'awkward' questions on the way home when they hear the chants."

Rivals.net were not immediately available for comment.

wow -

It has even been estimated that time spent by employees reading the thread at work may have cost UK businesses up to £50million, while the worldwide cost may reach £1billion (4)

That thread appears to have fallen off now, but here is a summation of events for those who never experienced it

Brian and Pete are mates
Sarah and Brian were an item
Sarah’s dad’s a builder and Brian’s mum is a cow (allegedly)
Emma works in Boots
Sarah works at the airport
And there is a Greek goat involved somewhere along the line

Sarah paid for Brian (and Pete) to go to visit the Greek goat – (don’t even ask!)
When they came back, Pete dished the dirt (ohhh sorry) on Brian’s illicit wanderings
Sarah by now has Hep A through Z and her and Brian are no longer an item
Pete and Sarah are however involved in an ‘on again off again’ underage relationship since they were 11 or so
Brian and Emma are involved with each other, with or without Pete and Sarah and or the Goat from Greece.
Emma is no longer happy working at Boots and Boots are pretty hacked off at the number of folks coming into the store just to speak to Emma (bet they wouldn’t be if she were a saleable commodity)
Emma and Brian go on holiday together – again paid for by Sarah – but has now been reimbursed by Brian’s mum who is the alleged cow.

Meantime, Sarah has started a Guinness record attempt at the worlds longest chat board thread on the Web.
Brains Brother Graham claims that Sarah tried it on with him and Brian denies all of the accusations, choosing instead to go on holiday with Emma – paid for by Sarah.
The rest of the world has now joined in and is mostly but not uniquely supporting Sarah and amongst all this are a scattered plethora of posts asking for some graffiti in Watford to be confirmed
Sarah’s dad is not happy (can’t think why?) and Sarah denies being in any other relationships other than with Brian. Sarah now adds innuendo about physical violence against her from Brian and Sarah’s dad is even less happy. Brian’s mum however, still seems to be an all paying, all forgiving (to her son – oddly enough) cow – (allegedly). Someone pretending to be Emma has been posting here in attempt to complete the equation – but is, rather sadly – not fooling anyone.

The Greek goat has maintained a dignified silence throughout and the Pete chap seems to be also keeping his head down.

What would really cap all this off would be the revelation from Sarah’s dad that he and Brian’s mum are the parents of Brian and Sarah and that Emma is Brian’s half sister from her relationship with her ‘partner’. Pete is the half brother of Sarah on her dad’s side. Brian’s brother Graham is in a ‘relationship’ with Pete and none of them has ever considered going to watch a football match – Lets keep the goat as a red herring for now – although a fish element into the thread could be worth exploring…

Mate this is nothing compared to Countdown's cutlery offer a few months back. As we had been given x2 sets when we got married I didn't need the coupons so let it be known that I'd be giving them away.

Biggest mistake of my life I was hounded to death. Think the Beatles arriving in America. I couldn't go anywhere the interest was so intense but it made me feel so special. I felt like FrankieMac going to a Chumbawamba gig.
