I notice TVNZ are trying to keep it buried too! I'm a big believer in Karma. Is this to be his payback for past behaviour??

Speaking of Pulp Sport, is there another series this year or was it the end forever last season?

LF1, have you come across Mike hosking and Kate Hawkesby making out in the janitor closet lately.

Mike Hosking and Kate Hawkesby-watchers would have dined out on the TV stars' cosy meal at plush restaurant Mikano on Wednesday night.

"They weren't showing open affection towards each other but they looked quite intimate," an eyewitness told Sunday News.

"They were talking intimately and they looked like they were enjoying each other's company.

"He was very gentlemanly.

"He opened the door for her as they walked out of the restaurant.

"They were laughing, smiling and chatting it looked like they enjoyed themselves."

Mike and Kate whose on-screen chemistry was a winner for TVNZ during their co-hosting stint on the Breakfast show enjoyed a steak mains at the top Auckland waterfront restaurant.

Mike, who had an entree of scallops, spoon-fed Kate a dessert of sorbet.

Elegant Kate, 35, was dressed in a smart-casual style in jeans and a black top, while Mike, 43, was wearing his trademark striped jacket.

They got into a flash four-wheel-drive before heading off in the direction of Remuera, where Mike lives in a townhouse.

Speculation has raged over the relationship between the pair.

Mike, who has been standing in for Mark Sainsbury on Close Up, left his wife Marie in August 2002, when their twins Ruby and Bella, now seven, were 14 months old.

Kate's 12-year marriage to real estate agent Richard Lyne ended last year.

They have two sons, aged nine and seven, and a one-year-old daughter.

Mike and Kate stepped out publicly together for the first time in years two months ago at the New Zealand Radio Awards in Auckland.

They caused a stir by arriving together and spending the evening side-by-side before leaving together.

Kate later denied reports they were seen holding hands under the table.

But she and Mike - now colleagues on NewstalkZB - openly enjoyed each other's company on Wednesday night.

"They definitely didn't look like they were trying to hide," the eyewitness said.

"They were out in public at a popular, well-known restaurant. They were sitting at a window table for two overlooking the Hauraki Gulf and the helipad."

I mean that is just brilliant journalism right there.  Really important newsworthy stuff.

Crime wave?  Dictator in Zimbabwe?  Election year?  Clearly none of that is as important as what Hosking has for an entree and what Kate wears out to dinner.

That's what you get when you get up in the morning and accidentally pick up Kate Hawkesby's top off the floor.

True LLF1 almost as bad as devoting over ten minutes to the Cowan story last week while Zimbabwe election farce was happening etc.

One really has to wnder if the world stops on a Sunday and this is all there is to report.

Regarding Leitch. He gives the lady a biff and then tries to cover it up, he gives Nix and Nix fans a hard time and then this secret is leaked for all of us to take the piss out of him. That's Karma.

The sad thing of course is the lady concerned suffering that sort of abuse. NO woman should ever have to experience that.

someone needs to email Mr Leitch at TVNZ on behalf of YF congratulating him on his marriage and making the headlines for sucj a noteworthy act of hooliganism - afterall he was raving about how football fans are nothing but hooligans when the bottle throwing incident occurred last season,.

Yip.  The chickens have come home to roost - especially after Veitch's attempt at undermining that fateful Nix v Melb game last year.

"They've only sold two thousand tickets.  The Nix will be a failure."

Maybe it's time for Piney to say "I want that job - it's my turn" to the head honchos after Veitch's eventual sacking from the 6.00am-9.00am Radiosport slot.

Big call Piney.

But maybe the correct one.
