Surely TVNZ or such are the broadcasters, and the 'talent' are either, journalists, reporters or presenters?
When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!
Sports broadcaster Tony Veitch has fronted the media and admitted he assaulted his former partner.
The Radio Sport breakfast host and TVNZ sports news presenter is on leave from both roles, following reports he beat his former girlfriend Kristin Dunne-Powell in 2006, then paid her a sum of money.
Veitch says he had a major disagreement with Ms Dunne-Powell when she came to his house one evening, and they argued for a long time.
"In the end, my frustration took over, I broke and lashed out in anger - something I will regret to the end of my days."
He says his relationship with Ms Dunne-Powell had just ended, he was working seven days a week in two stressful jobs and was emotionally and physically exhausted, as well as taking medication.
"I was at the lowest ebb in my life. I needed help."
Veitch says his actions were inexcusable. He says the reason he has not spoken until now is that he and Ms Dunne-Powell made an agreement about confidentiality because they did not want the incident to play out in the public. He says the agreement included a payment for the loss of income and distress he caused her.
The broadcaster says he undertook counselling for a year, which enabled him to form the relationship he now has with his wife, who he says he told what happened shortly after they started seeing each other.
Veitch says he apologised to Ms Dunne-Powell a long time ago. He has now apologised to the New Zealand public and his employers.
"I know what I did was wrong. It will never happen again."
