USA Election

Fuck I love a good election day.

Seems most pundits reckon Obama will get re-election.  Other thoughts?

Their election system is stupid.

ha well yes.  but that just makes it more entertaining.

From most of the coverage I had seen leading up to it, Ohio's votes are the only ones that really count.

Also, it is pretty unfair the 3.7 million people in Puerto Rico are American citizens but don't get the vote.

Needs more Sarah Palin

 My thoughts are if there is only 2 candidates and they are Mitt and Barack how by all that is Holy can it be at all a close race?

They have just over an hour left on the East Coast, so must be exit polling.

And they have only got 42 'votes' included in that. I did say it was early.

I ducking love the US elections. Never has a country taken an election so seriously but managed to be so shambolically poor at actually organising one.

I guess you could say something similar about their love of democracy and how fucking stupid their democracy is!

I was watching Fox News last night just for laughs.

One word - rabid.

Will probably watch again tonight though. It's at times like this that Fox News really excels in pure entertainment value.

Florida is ridiculously close.

Obama well ahead in Ohio with 7% of the vote in.

I think this wont be that close at all. Maybe the popular vote will be but the electoral college will be comfortable.

So a draw goes in to extra time and then there is a penalty shoot-out (my money will be on Obama)?

And the winner then goes on to play who: David Cameron, Angela Merkel, XI Jinping (likely), Julia Gillard (if Oz qualifies)?

Romney just took the lead in Florida. Shit just got real.

Just saw that. She's a tight one!

78% counted, and the lead is just 200 votes. Crazy stuff.

It could be a crucial state too. 

Bloody hell,if Romney wins,America will prove to the rest of the world that they really are the morons that we think they are. 

Romney will probably need to win Ohio, Florida and Virginia to be able to win. Ohio looking very unlikely at the moment.

I wish the TAB offered odds on this election.
