Me and Bill went to The Vic in Petone for the match. Raucous crowd. Excellent atmosphere. When the Warriors finally got in front I thought the roof was going to lift off. Amazing!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Wicked performance, Hohaia or McKinnon for this weekend? My pick is McKinnon despite Hohaia playing a top class game.
Bring on the Seagles!!! simon_hampton2008-09-20 10:31:58

Hohaia has been great the last few games. He's the perfect bench player though so you would be crazy not to have Wade starting.

Sweet Deal! I'll be in Blenheim, any advice on where to watch it?

I had to tape the game and didn't start watching it until midnight! But from the moment kick off started I turned my phone off, turned the radio off and avoided anyone with the score! WHAT A GAME! Question is Hohia(sp?) or McKinnon(sp?)? Either way we've got depth on the bench now!!!

I think go with McKinnon but bloody hell Hohaia has stepped up brilliantly as fullback this year. Hard on him but he'd understand.

Three for me, and two for them.

10-0 now. Storm knocked off kilter by the shock loss last week?

Melbourne win it with the last play of the game. Lockyear looks like he's about to burst into tears. What a game and another amazing finish.

Three for me, and two for them.

Melbroune should be missing Crocker and Smith next week. Crocker because he is just a muppet and he ran into that brawl and Smith for that grapple they got him on
I can see Cronulla beating Melbourne next week.

Ashton Sims had a mare of a game, not just that last drop, but several other errors during the game also. So glad we got Kemp for next season, the kid is class. Loving the massive hits that finals fever throws up aswel.

Cronulla is going to choke in the finals..

Last nights game was possibly the best non Warriors game of NRL I have seen, I thought it was absolutely brilliant. The Broncos gave it absolutely everything, and the Storm just ran them down. What a match! How about that try disalloed for Inglis being offside? I kinda wanted them to allow it so it could go down as one of the great tries. Never mind.

Warriors are going to have to raise their game again next weekend, Manly are so clinical. I ain't gonna write them off after what they have achieved so far but its going to be a massive performance. Storm to breeze past the Sharks I reckon.

Nice to see the consistency, same team(ish) for 10 games or so now. Rovelli and Lauaki to be omitted, you rarely see more than one back on the bench and Lauaki hasn't proved himself so would not be wise to throw him into this game.

The further Lauaki is from the SFS on Saturday night, the happier I'll be. Superb win from the boys last Friday, quietly confident that we can upset the odds again this weekend. A win on Saturday and Steve Price's 300th NRL game will be the Grand Final.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Its either Lauaki or Swann for that last bench spot.

We are third favourites at the TAB for the title. Storm $2.75, Sea Eagles $3, Warriors $5 and Cronulla $7.50. Pretty sure about those.

Get some money on the Warriors. A lazy tenner and you've bagged yourself $50.

After years of betting on Arsenal winning the CL i've learned to never bet on teams i support. Ever.

MELBOURNE captain Cameron Smith has been found guilty of a grapple tackle and will miss the rest of the NRL season.

Smith was handed a two-game suspension for the grade one contrary conduct charge for unnecessary head or neck contact on Brisbane's Sam Thaiday and will miss Melbourne's preliminary final with Cronulla on Friday.

If the Storm lose to the Sharks, then Smith will miss Australia's opening World Cup clash with New Zealand on October 26.

Personally i would have liked to see him get even more. The guy was blatantly tugging and wrenching on Thaidays head, how that is anything like defendable is beyond me. Storm with Smith, Smith and Hoffman gone look a little vulnerable this week, but the Sharks are the Sharks and they will undoubtedly choke

It won't matter whether they choke or not... they won't win - even without Smith (great name that!) the Storm will run over them...

Storm without Smith, Smith and Hoffman may look vulnerable but Cronk, Johnson, Inglis, Slater, Folau and co and the team is pretty much still amazing. Storm v Warriors final. Warriors to win.
