So when i buy a glass of whiskey in NZ whats the exact measurement i get ?(and  i have been known to buy a drink despite the outrageous rumours put about certain Hibs supporters)

Lappys is expensive but what a lovely drop it is!

i assume it's 30ml - i can get a 750ml Laphroaig 10yr old for about $80, so at $13 a dram that comes to $325 a bottle.

I'm not hatin', that's probably a standard, plus you're paying for the atmosphere etc

I think that this thread must be the onlt time a group of adults can discuss their favourite 12yr olds without risk of being arrested for being a Kiddie Fiddler.

Now that I say it,Kiddie Fiddler sounds like the name of a Scotch!!!

18 year olds are generally better than 10 year olds, but each to their own

I'm with Cosimo. although my actual preference is over 20 years old - But being maried has killed that. My life sentence has been going 7 1/2 years.  2 1/2 and I'm eligible for Parole!

I've been to a few of the Regional Wines and Spirits Whisky tastings and they are great - run in a casual relaxed way but always informative. Besides it's the only way I get to taste bottles in the over $200 range!

Currently loving Lagavulin 16yr Old - a must for Islay lovers to try

and at around $100 Arbelour A'bunah is a bargain for a cask strength whisky (60%). Heavy sherry influence though so if you don't like sherry steer clear...
