You'll keep.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I mean, I'd rather put up with the stink of smoke than have my fence smashed, letter box smashed, lounge window smashed with by a thrown beer bottle, couch thrown down the stairs into the garden etc by drunk f**ks, all of which has happened to me within the space of a month
Yeah fair enough, it's easier to just move away from smokers too but drunk c**ts are all over the place really.

Most smokers have started smoking by the age of 15.
The greatest statistical decline in smokers has happened amongst the adult age groups - late 20s up to 40s (from 2006 figures) - i.e people giving up smoking at a later date due to either health problems or in response to the anti-smoking campaigns of the last couple of decades.

Smoking is in fact an adolescent addiction problem. They are the most vulnerable to peer group pressure as well wanting to appear to be seen rebelling against their parents/society.

I've smoked for years (since I was twelve), but I've never been a chain smoker, never smoked more than a pack a week. Over the past two years I smoked even less and less. Even though they are an addictive poison I've never been hooked and I don't feel like even having a smoke anymore. I had my first one in ages last night and I didn't really like it. I do find it weird that I've never been hooked on them, when so many get addicted. I guess I'm lucky. Anyway, with the money I'll save not smoking, I'll be able to make the trip down for more Nix games!

Smoking is one IKUYTI&^%(F%^P :L I    67*&^ THING!!!   My friend has smoked since she was thirteen. A while back her eyesight started to pack up. She has an early onset of a particular EYE condition caused by the increased blood pressure due to her smoking. Doctor said that , obviously, of you stop smoking it will delay the damage to your eyes. Else she'll go blind. SHE STILL SMOKES!!!!  The addiction is so intense. Sight or smoking? And smoking wins FFS!!!!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

There's a member of this forum who has shadows on his lungs, in all likelihood,  from smoking. The doctor expressed big concerns about his state of health. His response... he has not been for any medical attention since. Is in complete and utter denial. Family and friends have tried to get him to try something before it's too late.  And of course he's still smoking a pack a day.

I'd say this to him. You have a wife and four kids, think about them as well...
