I dunno how this game works but if the contestant gets the first question wrong then how do they fill up the rest of the hour? Do they have another contestant waiting?

I got an invite to be in the audience for this thing.

oh so thats how they are going to get away with not giving out $ - making the questions ridiculous.
I reckon Hard News would clean up - he's a freak that man

In the Uk they have fastest finger... 10 people with 1 question, 4 answers in order... fastests gets to go in. Here they jst have someone waiting.

I should have gone on this show, I'd have made 5 grand off the middle guy and I'm up 2 grand on that last lady. I didn't got to see it all but I got them right! Even my work mates who were with me were impressed! LOL Lonegunmen2008-09-09 21:54:34

Fountain of knowledge are we Lonegunmen?

Three for me, and two for them.

Felt sorry for the first lady - her questions were way harder than the others.

I used to read a lot and now with the net and google, I have a reasonable general knowledge. Not that we'll be around next week to see the show (Thinking of the Black Hole), still France gets to go first!

Good show for an NZ effort and good to see a fair few NZ based questions in there.

I had a mate who got a second audition and didn't get any further, to be fair he is much smarter than anyone they had on tonight

Well, I guess that depends on your criteria for smart. The second contestants formal qualifications were credible in the smart stakes..conversely I'm also not convinced that wide knowledge of a factual nature is a great indicator of 'smartness'. HarryHotspur2008-09-10 00:05:32

Wasn't the Aussie version with Eddie shown here a few years back?

Why are people carryin on as though it's a) New and b) Kiwi????

Given it's been on for years (I watched it in the UK with Anne Robinson in '01) in other parts of the globe and that the 'Kiwi' version is filmed in Melbourne using a muppet with a Kiwi accent instead of Eddie? (Thats McGuire, not Maiden lol).

yes the Aussie version was on here on prime and also the UK version which is hosted by Chris Tarrent not Anne Robinson who actually hosts the Weakest Link.

I noticed at the end that "our guest choose to stay at Ibis Melbourne"

and surge it is New and Kiwi....version!

It's filmed in Melbourne using ex-pats.

I applied but all the questions related to NZ over the past 10 years and I didn't have a clue! They said I could be in the audience.

I applied for the show via the online questionaire and got all but 2 questions right, but never contacted.

I've been on 8 TV quiz shows in the UK, yet  have never seen such a fiasco even in rehearsals and that woman is a teacher, she should change jobs and join "Pink Helen's" cabinet.

Maybe getting questions right in the on-line application rules you out? I thought I did OK in that, but no audition for me...

That question was pretty easy but i could imagine how easy it would be to get confused with the changes in the fourth labour govt, when did Moore come in, when was the election etc?

Ahhhh... thanks FM... I knew I'd put the wrong host in but couldn't be buggered correcting myself and I knew there'd be a willing volunteer :)

I got at least 5/5 of the 7 online questions right (I couldn't remember the other two to check the answers on, but there were no questions I didn't think I knew) and I am still waiting for my call.

Am I too smart for NZ Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Only those who got 100% online were called back- audition was a 30 question test where only the top 25% went through- then there was a screen test-

I guess I got one of those two 'other' questions wrong then.

Damn I would have been keen for the audition too.
