They're not going to be in the NBL next season, that was just a rumour that seems to have died down. It'll be the 7 surviving clubs, plus a new Melbourne club, with expansion to Sydney and Brisbane the year after. Saints are sticking in the NZ NBL.

Also - Terry doesn't own the Saints. Century City sponsors them, but the team is owned by a different person who'd be responsible for the expansion fee, player salaries etc. Terry would contribute sponsorship dollars (should he choose to remain involved) but there'd be no other obligation for him to pay for anything.

...heh, just read the news and looks like the rumour is still going.

That being said, it's still not going to happen. If it does, I would consider buying a season pass though.

i saw it on the news last night and in the morning it was said that it was unlikely but who knows id be getting a season pass if it happened i love going to the basketball and certainly dont go as often as i should

won't happen this coming season, if Sydney and melbourne keey moaning etc, Wellington may have a team in the next two seasons.

i dont know i think they were kinda keen on this season for the fact it was better to have an even number and what they would do is do thursday in auckland for the aussie teams vs breakers then saturday vs Saints and vice versa

I really hope this goes through, bring more action to the Basketball scene in NZ
