In CHCH, and yet again Cashmere Technical pip Coastal Spirit beyond 90 minutes in the Cup. This time on pens.

Yes Coastal should have been several goals clear at the break with a penalty to Tech locking the score up at 2  - 2 in the 88th minute, with the Tech keeper saving Coastal final pen to advance 5 - 4, second year on a row that Coastal have gone out on pens to Technical.

Stokes vegas basically a lower hutt/petone hybrid, not suprised they got the win over brooklyn. Brooklyn looks like theyve lost a few from last year. Maybe sick of missing promotion every year.

Wainui v seatoun, this suprised me. Anyone have details? No more broken legs?

Otaki holding tawa to 4, not bad.

The rest of the results seem quite standard

Wainui scored first quite early.

Seatoun scored not long after and at one point were 3-1 up.

Wainui hit both uprights and the crossbar, shoulda converted a bunch.

3-3 with not too much time left and Seatoun got a winner.

Was a good game to watch.

No injuries. It's getting super tiring hearing people on the sidelines go on about broken legs.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

Stokes valley player got a broken leg at the end of the Stokes valley game. What is with all the broken legs this year??? Is it normal?? Or are we just hearing about it more than. Previous years??

Was in Masterton to watch the Wairarapa United vs Upper Hutt City game yesterday. 0 - 0 at HT with Upper Hutt probably shading Wairarapa in the first half. In the second half Upper Hutt gradually got on top of Wairarapa. Although two of Upper Hutt's goals were scored late in the match, the final result could have been more than 3 - 0 as the Wairarapa Keeper pulled off a couple of crucial saves in the second half to keep his side in the match.

Wests v Wharf the pick of Central/Capital games. Most of the other ones seem highly predictable.

Upper Hutt v Seatoun could be good - a re-match from last season when Seatoun almost won, Upper Hutt equalised in 90th minute to make it 3-3 and then went on to win 7-3 in extra time

Havelock North Wanderers v North Wellington will be interesting

Miramar at home? WTF is that all about!

Yeah think if I’m able to I’ll go out to Upper Hutt to watch them play Seaton. Should be a good game.

When is this round played?

- Miramar Rangers vs Island Bay United
Mar too good with TW boys back

- Lower Hutt City vs Victoria University
LH will play all the football and win

- Stop Out vs Napier Marist
Stop Out really only have the cup to play for in their 100th year so will go all out to win this one.

- Stokes Valley vs Wellington Olympic
Olympic will have too much quality

- Upper Hutt City vs Seatoun
By all accounts last seasons cup fixture was tight between these two, but UH won 7-3 AET. UH to win in normal time

- Western Suburbs vs Waterside Karori
This will be the closest game I reckon.
Wests AET

- Napier City Rovers vs Tawa
NCR will do it tough but will break Tawa down to take it toward the end

- Havelock North Wanderers vs North Wellington
North Welly are another team that really only has the Cup to play for so can see them advance

My Picks (not that anyone will care)

- Miramar Rangers vs Island Bay United  - Miramar

on fire Jack-Henry Sinclair to get another hattrick

- Lower Hutt City vs Victoria University - Lower Hutt City aet,

Vic Uni will be well organised and defend well but they rely on breakaway attacks to score and the phoenix kids will prove too good for them

- Stop Out vs Napier Marist - Stop Out

Could be close depending on how much rain falls tomorrow and monday - Hutt Park just managed to stay ok today but could be a big factor, but Stop Out should win

- Stokes Valley vs Wellington Olympic- Olympic
question here is by how many

- Upper Hutt City vs Seatoun - Seatoun
Seatoun almost beat Upper HUtt City last season, UHC only getting an equaliser in the 93 minute before they went on to win 7-3 in extra time, Seatoun will be up for revenge

- Western Suburbs vs Waterside Karori - Wests
Despite Wests surprise loss to Mar today, thiunk they will win this one comfortably

- Napier City Rovers vs Tawa - Napier
One of the most famous cup upsets happened in the 1992 when Tawa, 3 divisions below National League Napier, won 2-1, only one division between the teams these days and can't see Tawa repeating the upset

- Havelock North Wanderers vs North Wellington - Havelock North Wanderers aet

very hard one to pick, both teams could win it, Havelock North were Central league last season, Tasman United North Wellington should have enough experience to do it but wouldn't be surprised if they don't

You are right, we don't care...But I am interested....  :)

Mostly agree too, except LHC in the 90, NCR comfortable, and maybe North Wellington to edge it.

Seaton winning 1-0 at half time. Fudgeknows what the Upper Hutt coach has instructed his tea. It looks like kick and hope. Like the first time these guys have played together. Come on guys turn it around.

Seatoun scored a second pretty much from the kick off. Own goal as an Upper Hutt defender did a loopy back header over the Goalkeeper.  Highlight of the day for me was meeting Tracey at  the game. Final score Upper Hutt 0 Seaton 2.

Was there a game plan? I saw a few UH guys trying to beat 10 players before passing poorly. And the crosses were awful.
